Quite difficult but really enjoayble

Holy moly! Thank you so much for playing.
I am glad you enjoyed it. And just wanna say it.
Up to now you are known (because nobody showed me a proof)
as the first person to ever complete the game (including finding all secrets) (and also of course not mentioning me)!!!
Congrats! :D If you want I can tell you a little secret that I am still working on this game and I will put it out as a different
project but still it will be Insanity. And I am working hard on making the game as close to the oryginal when it comes to difficulty.

So thank you again for playing and completing the whole game!!! It means a lot to me : )

This is an amazing game with a really neat and satisfying combat the only problem is that you can't really go without taking any damage against any ghost in which case recovering your sanity over time might have worked

Thank you for the tip. 
Some of the mechanics are hard to notice at first but you do recover some sanity after killing the ghost.
So if you kill them quick enough you can regain some sanity. This game is a speedrunning game so
killing things fast and moveing around quick is the key to completing levels.

Really great game! Love the pixel art and music, fantastic atmosphere. The gameplay is so fun and challenging. Personally I think some check points especially in larger levels would be really nice but it just me.

Overall an incredibly polished game! Great job!

Funny you mention checkpoints. I wanted to add them but I ran out of time.
But this game will get an instant update after the jam which fixes some bugs,
and adds checkpoints! :D
But don't worry the game still will be hard,
checkpoints refresh your sanity to full so I changed
the maximum sanity amount to 50 instead of 80.
One ghost can kill you in about 6 - 7 seconds.
Before it could kill you in about 9 - 11.

In short when finishing levels your character slowly loses sanity and the game is getting harder and harder and more dangerous things appear that want to kill you

Spikes are WAY too frustrating! I really wanted to finish this game but just couldn't. Maybe the spikes cold drain your insanity or if you want one hit kill spikes maybe have checkpoints somewhere. A lot of the other game mechanics really emphasise speedrunning like the insanity draining ghosts that don't hurt you on contact make you want to rush to the ghost and kill him before too much insanity gets drained. The spikes force you to be careful because if you are not your dead. Basically, great game but please fix the spikes.

Thank you so much for playing. I am glad you have enjoyed my game. And also about the spikes they will be one hit one kill because i want them to be frustrating. I wanted to add checkpoints but i have ran out of time to do so. Also i have not decided yet how i want them to work. Mainly because I dont know how to do current level state saving

But I do have an idea that checkpoints when restaring on them will also spawn a wall that blocks you the option to go back.

also I am just curious. On what level did you get stuck on. Was it level 5 caverns? Because if so then my friend who i test the game with also got stuck there. He said he will try again tommorow.
