How does your game represent "Power"?
The power fills the lines! It powers the television our poor lineman desperately wants to watch. The flow and direction of power are integral to "LineMan".

Great puzzle game, hurt my brain lol. Excellent presentation all around!

Cool use of GB Studio, if I had a flash cart I'd give it a spin on my actual GB. The puzzles worked well, but it would be nice to subtly visualize the flow of electricity on the actual wires a bit. I would've liked to see some more complex puzzles at the end that combine multiple pieces from the previous ones. Most of the puzzles had such a small possibility space that it was trivial enough to reach the solution by just trying every option available to you, which doesn't make for a super rewarding puzzle. The visuals are very clean though, and there are some great ideas here. I particularly enjoy the sokoban-esque batteries. The limitation on how far you can push them from their charging spot could make for some compelling challenges.

Amazing presentation! The levels take a relatively simple concept and keep ramping up the complexity with each puzzle. Great job!

Wow, I've never hear of GB Studio and this is really cool! I decided to play it in the mGBA emulator I have, such a cool idea! I do think the concept and mechanics are extremely well picked and thought out, however I do think some of the puzzle execution feels like it has so little input combination that I am able to just trial and error my through without issue. Of course this is just a jam game with only six levels so it's really not that big of an issue at all, but it sort of discouraged me from thinking hard about how the mechanics really work, y'know? After beating it I still couldn't tell you with any certainty how the wire connections between node objects actually functions. For all I know that's just a "me" problem though, because this is still super cool and super well done. Awesome job!

Immaculate presentation! The vibes are just right and really feels like it fits right at home on the gameboy with the music and everything. Great job!

Nice work, loving the gameboy aesthetic and palette on this. Puzzles were clever as well!

This game was pretty cool! I liked the GB engine rep in bigmode!

I had a lot of fun with this game, and I really like that you used the GB engine for it. The sheer amount of wires was difficult to wrap my head around, especially since they were the same color (though you'd lose the GB feel by making them distinctly colored) and I was mostly making decisions based on intuition, which worked out for me. Still, the puzzles were fun, the ability to pull was incredible, and vibe was very arcade-y. Good stuff!

The music rally made it feel like an arcade game! Cool!

Amazing GB game! I love how cool games with such limitations can be nowadays still! Really great work!

Admittedly defeated by level 3 - But I had good fun trying to solve them, very nice job!
A few little touches would of really elevated this would be a some sound effects for the various interactions.
Powering up and opening doors ects. And showing the  flow of power more visually along the pipe - even if very subtly would make easier to see where things are going.

sily little puzzle game. im ngl, i got stuck trying to squeeze the battery between the doorway and the relay for an embarrassingly long time. good stuff brother.

Super clever puzzler! You could get pretty crazy with this. Someday someone will build Line Man in Line Man. Loved it. Hope you keep improving it, adding a couple more tunes would go a long way.

Very neat puzzle game, I like how you incorporated the theme, but I couldn't get past level 3. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get the block through the doorway tbh lol.

Thanks for playing my game. Level three in particular has a second battery to use on the other side of the doorway. Future levels you can take them through but I hadn't figured it out when I was making that level (-‿-")

Oh lol. Well I'll try it again with this new found knowledge then!

It's cool to see a genuine Game Boy game here! Despite graphcis being hard to read, I really enjoyed the first couple of puzzles. Once I got to the third one though (the one at your fifth screenshot), I had no idea what to do. But regardless, I had great time figuring out those first two puzzles! Nicely done!

Developer

It was added a little late in development so it wasn't mapped very well, but if you press A (or Z on keyboard) while pressing B (or X on keyboard) you can back up with the battery to prevent getting stuck. I'm assuming that's the issue you ran into, as its been a pretty common one (⭑•͈ 𓎟 •͈ )

Oh wow, that actually makes a lot of sense! I was wondering if I could do something like that since the puzzle made no sense otherwise. I knew I was missing something, thanks for clarifying!
