Really cool gameplay loop. Multiplying the money was very satisfying. Great job

How does your game represent "Power"?
Power is represented as 'energy'. Using generators and wires to power different structures.

Very nice Game, at first it was a bit difficult to understand the differend tower types and how the power/grid system worked. Nice Graphics, and nice background music. Pretty chill. After a while it got a bit annoying tho to throw back the cards to the sellers...a nice, "I don't want anything at all button" would be nice. Altough I have the feeling this is intendo to have a more...haptic feel to it (like papers please)
Solid and polished. The trade mechanic is a good twist to the genre. I couldnt find a way to redo my energy connections.
Thanks for playing!
Sorry for not explaining the generator mechanics properly, when you move a generator or right click on it (or any of its wires) they disappear, allowing you to reconnect them to other structures. If you ever run out of generators, you can buy one to Gwen, one of the many shop NPCs. Anyways, thank you a lot π
Very polished tower defense game! I really liked the Papers, Please style trading mechanic! Good job!
Really cool game!
I played up to wave 60, pretty sure it was impossible to lose at that point though. xD
The UI (and art direction in general) is very clean and cohesive. However, it would be good to consider how to more clearly guide the player towards available actions. It isn't always obvious what needs to be clicked/dragged, etc.
Great work!
This game is a blast! Managed to win using poison + global damage and made it decently far into endless mode as well! Really like the aspect of not just buying towers, but also having to buy upgrades, damage boosts, and money investments.
Few minor nitpicks (mostly since I ended up playing this for quite a while):
- I liked being able to see the modified enemy health values, but would also be nice to see the modified damage values of the minions after getting the various minion damage upgrades, especially since you can end up buying many of those.
- I feel like the max power scaling was a bit strange? Felt very limiting in the early stages, then towards the last few levels I had way more energy than I could possibly output.. Could probably have scaled a bit slower imo, that way you still need to pay attention to max power output in the mid levels.
The music and art are also really well done and polished - Definitely felt the papers please vibe in the shop and with the sound effects there, really nailed that aspect!
Awesome work on this!!
Thank you so much for the feedback, I appreciate it a lot π
I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. You're right about the minion damage values, they can be a bit missleading, will definitely fix that after the jam ends. As for the max power scaling, I did all of the game's balancing last minute and added the power cap as a way to limit early-game, but I didn't take into consideration that it gets really high after a couple of rounds, maybe I should have scaled it by a fixed amount after a couple of rounds? I'll look into it after the jam ends. Thank you for playing β€οΈ
This game is so good! Feels very polished and it was a lot of fun to have so many different items/minions that you could buy. The gimmick of the generators also really makes you think about your placement more than other tower defense games I've played. Only complaint is that you can't undo power lines you've made without having to redo all of the lines for a generator
I really, really, really liked this concept/game.
There was a bit of a learning curve, and some of the controls weren't super intuitive. UI was a bit buggy for full screen, but I know how much of a pain UI stuff can be, especially in web. Really cool entry.
Really creative combination of TCG and tower defense! I took me a while to figure out stuff but after the initial learning curve it's quite satisfying to triumph over the incoming waves :)
Really fun! Takes a minute to figure out how things work but once you do it's very satisfying to manage everything and then watch the enemies get mowed down
REALLY fun game. Great sound and visual look, honestly super polished. I love the generator system to the tower defense element.
When in the wave based mode, and I'd hover over the cards, it would be helpful if I got a full UI explanation rather than just the card name.
This is really cool. I can definitely see the references come through and the presentation is dope. I will say it's a bit on the rough side to understand at first, but once you get a hang of the basic flow, it makes more sense. Not sure how to fix that, so I can't give any real suggestions, but either way this is great.
The balatro inspo definitely comes through, really fun concept and great presentation. My only minor criticism would be in would be nice if there was an indicator on the traders to say to drag to them to sell when you're holding a card/tile. great job
Had to go back to the tutorial again to figure out how pass items, a button to skip would have been nice. Good tutorial tho.
