Wow, this game is fun! The game loop has that insanely addictive feeling. I kept wanting to play past the end game. This game oozes potential!! Setting traps and being the architect of the battlefield is a lot of fun. I was left wanting for a way to attack the tubers when they're underground more effectively (like a trap that forces them to the surface). The formula is solid. I can definitely see this expanding into one of those "Overwhelmingly Positive" cult games! Amazing work!
I'm grateful for your feedback! A trap specifically against the potatoes is a really good idea. Thanks for playing!
I loved it! The gameplay was really addicting and I kept playing till I finished. It had a great sense of progression for a jam game. The sound effects and gunplay were actually quite robust for a game that looks like a cute farming sim or Minecraft style.
I appreciate that! I'm actually really happy how the progression and audio design turned out for the game. Thanks for playing!
So much fun! It captures the relaxing theme of every farm game with a very unexpected twist. The transition between modes is very well done; I loved the change in music and atmosphere. It shows how much love was put into this game. Great work!
Much obliged! Its nice to hear our efforts towards the game are showing. Thanks for playing!
Best jam game i played so far! Artsyle was amazing , upgrades and smoothnes was on point. I was selling eggplants and making an automated farm and wanted to try that pumpkin and i was shocked once it started the harvest mode and ended , i was upset that it ended to be honest because it was so much fun to kill eggplants with traps and auto guns lol. Great job guys much love and respect!
Your words mean so much to us! I always love to see and hear how people play our games. Thanks for playing!
This was wonderfully done! Having a cozy farming sim turn into a first person shooter got me hooked right off the bat in the beginning. The upgrades and systems were fun to work through and I had a lot of fun with this game. Great work!
I'm glad you like the different game modes! It's also nice to hear the game progression feels fun and rewarding. Thanks for playing!
This was an absolute blast, I got instantly hooked on finding out what the new plants would do and seeing how I could best setup my garden to handle the different phases. I really liked the progression in this game with the skills, weapons, and traps all coming together until at the end you feel quite powerful!
I also totally didn't read so that little surprise at the end completely took me by surprise haha. Excellent entry!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's nice to hear we can still surprise people with our games.
Thanks for rating //roboMODE. Yes, the idea of a theme that is developed/varied works for the purpose of unity and mood building. And congratulations for Big Trouble in Little Garden, a catchy title and funny and very curious concept! I laughed a lot (Mother Earth thanks your for yourr sacrifice). I loved the idea of your music, super relaxing X motivating in harvest mode! A game that surprised me! Good lucky for you guys!
Thank you for the kind words! I'm happy we could make you laugh!
This one is freaking awesome!!! The art style progression, audio, everything is on point. The amount of time I spent on this was insane considering the fact that it is a gamejam game! I love everything about it!
Thank you, that means so much to us! I'm happy to hear you liked it!
A nice farming experience within a very nice Arena shooter, I'm in! Weapons have a great feeling, my only reproach would be the onboarding (nothing terrible but I had to look around to find thé store etc...)
Thank you for your feedback. We discussed having a tutorial, but decided to keep tutorial messages light due to time constrains. I agree that the shop and skillboard could have been highlighted better. Maybe frog could have a shop-sign and the skillboard brighter colors.
awesome game! very satisfying gunplay and movement. the idea is quite unique as well. my main criticism would be that the difficulty seems entirely self-imposed. maybe have it so that you must fight the pumpkin within a certain number of days?
I appreciate the feedback! The due date for the pumpkin is actually a good idea. Though as a jam game I think it's better that everyone can find their own pace, so inexperienced players don't get overwhelmed by enemies. Thank you for playing.
Really liked the variation in enemies, weapons and traps, and the overall aesthetic of the game. Upgrading between rounds was a nice touch. Good job!
I appreciate that! I see you found some concept art you like too :D
Really great! I managed to softlock the game in the shop, but otherwise super fun!
Thanks for playing! How did the game soft lock in the shop for you?
This game is great! The depth of systems/progression, the style/sound, the controls and responsiveness, everything is top-notch! I really enjoyed the balancing of building a well-producing farm vs not overwhelming yourself with enemies. There were several times as I was planting crops I was hating myself for making things so difficult, yet loving it at the same time. Tons of fun, great job!
Thank you for the positive feedback! The progression and game balance were playtested alot so I'm glad they feel rewarding.
This is the absolute best game I've played in the jam so far, and it looks hard to top. Fluid shooting gameplay mixed with light strategy and consistent progression. This brought out my inner old-school FPS gamer in a way few games do. Fantastic work!
That means alot to us! I'm happy we managed to capture that old-school feeling.
Super fun game. Really addicting. Playing made me want to unlock all of the plots and get as far as possible, but it seems I am just not skilled enough and got wiped before that point a couple times. Fantastic job
I appreciate that! Yeah, the difficulty can ramp up pretty quickly if you plant too much too soon. Thanks for playing.
Had a blast playing thing
I'm glad you had fun. Thanks for playing.
Great idea and execution! A lot of fun as well, would keep playing this as it develops! Also neat trick with the sprite facing fence posts :p
Thank you for your kind words! We tried to use billboard sprites in the game world whenever we could to keep that old-school feel :)
Very impressive and extensive in content for a 2 week jam. Great job!
Much obliged! Thanks for playing.
the industrial revolution and its consequences on my frames. Amazing game, I really enjoyed it! You had a great idea and an even better execution. I had no idea the how well big HTML games could run too!
That's alot of sentries you got there. It's always fun to see people push games to their limits. I'm happy to hear you liked it!
This is so cute and silly, I love it. Nice idea.
Thanks a bunch! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
