I really enjoyed this game. The concept, grapgics and audio are really engaging and fun!
Thx
I love the radial design and the skills.
It's sad that even with multiple instance of the whiteboard marker I can't use it multiple times, but at least I excel at damage :D
Thx
A beautiful game and unique concept.
I am very happy for the text on the game page though, because I had absolutely no idea what was going on. The item cards were deeply mysterious, and I never would have figured out pausing-to-decorate. Although it seems like decorating doesn't really do anything?
Thx. Zones change items dropped by the enemies and boxes. Some items can only be fond in some specific areas.
I love the aesthetics (even the items feel "office-y" somehow, like they're desktop icons) and the clock concept, as others have said, is really original and cohesive with the theming and gameplay. Looking at the hours on the clock itself to see how much time is remaining is an elegant way of communicating gameplay information without adding more UI elements. Great polish and details. If expanded on with more items, I would like to be able to choose which item is swapped out when I swap one in, to be more intentional about builds.
Thx
Really interesting idea and a cool twist on the cycles theme. I did come across a bug when it got stuck while paused and wouldn’t resume (although the top bar would change between pausing and unpausing when I hit space).
Hmm.. this is a new kind of bug. Thx for letting me know. Hope you enjoyed the game nonetheless.
Liked the concept, but i couldn't use the active powerups (on the right) ? They go black when I click them.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to implement a proper ability reload animation. Abilities go dark when player is not in the battle or when they are on cooldown. Abilities that do damage have specific damage number colors, but this is the only indication of an ability being used (unless you carefully look at the damage numbers).
Walking around the clock is a pretty good idea. There’s a kind of ludo-narrative coherence at play here that I appreciate. The spritework is cute and the soundtrack is a banger. My only issue is the lack of enemy variety and the ease of combat.
When I was at 5 hours left, I noticed that my dude ended every fight with full health even without using any special abilities after equipping plants and paper clips. So, as an experiment, I went out to buy groceries and left the game running. When I came back, I saw that my AFK strategy got me all the way to the CEO. At least he defeated me :D
But I really like the underlying ideas and mechanics. Good work!
Thx for feedback. I did spend very little time trying to balance the game, so yeah.. there are 100% broken builds, but at least I hope you had fun running the experiment.
Definitely did, and I also enjoyed my playtime before that :)
Love it, love it, love it (soundtrack ended up directly in my playlist). Very chill to play, and nice concept :)
Thanks. Same with soundtrack, makes gameplay a whole lot better
Cool game ! Is there any point to keep getting new items once you have one of each ?
You have 4 active slots and 6 items. After you decide which 4 you want to use when there is little point in getting new ones
The music really adds to the energy here. I love the zoom in/out feature. This kind of felt like an idle game, and if it is I like it a lot better than cookie clickers!
Yeah, we wanted to make something very easy to play. Leisurely click after a long office day :)
Love the song. Really liked the setting too, running around the clock was cool, and it was super satisfying to zoom out and place things and then see the lil guy run past it. Cute sprites, great game!
Thanks, man
Like the whole workplace ninja concept. A lot of fun to go rampaging through the office. Took a minute to figure out how best to fight but then it became easy and then... too easy? Perhaps the 8 hours goes too slowly? But very cool game.
Thanks. Fighting is pretty straight forward, that's true. Maybe too easy even for the game jam, we'll do better next time
The "walking on a clock" idea is pretty unique and cool. At first the fighting was a bit overwhelming but then it clicked pretty quickly and I became an office kung fu expert! Really cool game!
Thanks, man
