yes i managed to build factory instructions ! weee ! too bad i can't read those, because you know i need it =D

Thanks for your kind words, and the thoughtful feedback !

i was annoyed with the pen tool moving the factories by mistake. Other than that it works, and the produced items sound is satisfying.

Reward hacking =)

i was a little annoyed that i could soft brick the progression by increasing power beyond capacity. it would be ok with some ui to help visualize this. also the power bar doesn't make sense (unless it is shared but i don't think it is ?).

still had to go and see the end, so it's a success in my books.

that a great shame of me that after so many years programming, i still can't touch type.... maybe i should play this game and other like it =)

Nice effort on presentation for a text mode game !

with that stat going down to 0% i wasn't sure if i was doing well or not.  seems like the only way to really clear dandelions was with rabbits. I did not understand the use for flames either. Music loop a bit too short.

Still the idea wasn't bad, and i wanted to see a level 3, but couldn't reach it despite seeing the victory screen for level 2 multiple times.

i liked it, simple and to the point. I think adding hp to the "hero", while arguably making the game easier, would actually increase the stress and increase the will to live.

As other posters have noted, right now it doesn't make sense to go for the safe zone.

I didn't understand this at all ... Looks like there is some work behind it, so it would be worth having a more detailed explanation on the actual controls (what to click on, in which order).

i don't understand the 14$ thing ... it grows to fill the whole screen and that's it ?

Reached wave 8, then abandoned the game. Difficulty should increase. I'd like to see maybe some skin around the cells, so you can see where the next wave is coming from, instead of relying on the white cells movement, which feels a bit cheaty. White cells should die after absorbing a number of viruses too. And i'd like to see something that prevents the white cells clumping up too much, i think that would make it more strategic.

i must confess i almost couldn't do anything. Firefox and Chrome.

Trippy ...and clicking is harder than i imagined =)
I directly thought you were the guy that did Sol on last jam... once again a good experience.

i would have liked some way to reject cards or act in some way on the hand.

some effort went into this, but i experienced technical difficulties. At first i didn't know how to click on the cards. Turns out i had to click on the top of these. then the mouse was very floaty/laggy. I think the bevy team added something for that particular problem https://github.com/bevyengine/bevy-website/commit/14fbf1e1681aa71a6446d26d301538... Too bad i can't see your code, i'm curious about that issue.

Anyways good atmosphere in that game, and nice transitions.

too bad it's the one node type =(  I thought the control scheme was nice, that would work with a controller.

i'd like to see better feedback when i get hit

now that's infuriating... getting blocked by those annoying people is the worst !

needs more work, but at least you released something !

only two levels =( ...also yes the zoom is annoying. i didn't know at first if i had to place a road on the bus station itself or not. regular music should stop when victory music plays.

I'd say this needs some more work, keep it up !

113 score ! (let's overlook this pesky -10 health, nobody's interested in that part)

Nice game for a first try !

I was like "the spring is OP" ....then I unlocked barrels ... Weeeeeee kaboom !

I think there need to be some kind of limit on the items we can use =)

I went up and up and up...and found the exit ! So i guess that's some skillful victory isn't it ?

yep needs more work i guess =)

haha well that was laggy, but props for the tech challenge !

those bombs advancing and me having to drag right at the perfect place, I just can't handle the stress !

Took me a little while to see i had to keep pressing for dragging. I'd like to see more feedback on that, like the bomb being visibly dragged.

made it to wave 16. losing was painful, when you see those pirates inexorably bring that last gold ever closer to the exit.

took multiple tries to keep alive for a bit, but i feel my control is too limited.

good idea, but i felt that i never knew for sure how well (or more likely bad) i was doing. Also there was some delay on the sounds so i was not always certain i was hearing the one i expected to.

i won, but let's be honest here, i didn't deserve it at all ! I didn't even get to use gnomes =( ... fun music !

i had some lag on firefox, so i restarted it on chrome, and the models were all squeezed up. i must confess i didn't have much success playing this game =(

wew that one was laggy ! And i fell out of the border of the map =)

I'm also one of those level 3 failures =(

Balancing puzzle games is hard. Audio is nice tho !

simple idea that does work.

for some puzzles i felt the duck was going too fast and i couldn't accurately place him where i wanted.

actually i investigated a little bit. And here is the trouble ... I'm playing on my main monitor which is 4k, with a 1080. Most games are ok with that, but that's like 4 times more pixels to fill than regular 1980x1024. I had my daughter play the game (yes it's that good), she played it in on the other screen (regular size this one), and it was silky smooth. It's not the first game i have this issue with, some of them go around the issue by rendering on a smaller image, then displaying that scaled up. Still, the game is nice, but i think that kind of fidelity should work at 4k, tho maybe not for a jam game =)

Nice game !

graphics are nice, as is audio. I 'd like some way and reason to rearrange the modules, and of course more of these ! maybe a bit of rng cheating to have a chance at starter when none is in the reactor or selection yet.

Simple and to the point, that's exactly what we want to see in game jams. Puzzles are not too hard, but there si still the added challenge to get all stars. Added points for music and sound effects.

Good submission

(1 edit)

Hey someone else made the same game ! (https://itch.io/jam/bevy-jam-6/rate/3624746)

They had AI so you lose on that front ... but then again their AI beat me, so you win after all !

Nice graphics, simple but good enough. controls are good too. simple puzzles, but that's what's needed. I would'nt have added red rails before they're actually required (except maybe at that crossing room). And i regret the absence of any kind of audio.

All in all a very good submission, one of the best.

haha that music man... silly just in the right way =) ... gameplay is very good too. If something had to be said, i would complain about the boomerang going through walls, tho i'm not sure how to fix this and still have the boomerang coming back in all cases. Oh and game is way too short, I want more  !

Awesome game =)

I'd like to be able to zoom. This reminds me of dorfromantik. I couldn't find a way to rotate tiles.

Agreed, a tooltip or side UI with some kind of a graphical view of the movement would be ideal.

Thanks for playing !
