I think like the third time I read the description I understood I had to press escape to see the controls and then the game made sense. The concept is really neat and the physics are excellent. The enemies are fun to watch. It says local coop but 1v1 also seems like it'd be fun.

I tried the game on Windows, but the first time I launched, I didn't even see the characters. The second time I launched, I really tried for a good 10 minutes to understand what to do, but I feel like something still might be broken. Based on the appearance, it's really clean. Really well made, sadly there's not audio, but the graphics are so beautiful, the light is amazing

I noticed these issues on windows, the few textures I use take a long time to load for some reason

Wow, the garbage telekinesis is really, really well implemented! It looks hella cool, feels smooth, the garbage being picked up is always intuitive (as in, it always seemed to grab exactly what I wanted), the shooting has nicely tuned parameters (the shooting speed is nice, the damage is nice, etc.). Great job! It reminds me a lot of how well the telekinesis is implemented in Control. I don’t have any improvement suggestions beyond what you already know (sound, gameplay stages, tutorial, etc.), but what’s there is amazing!

Thank you very much !

Game is fun once you know what should be done, maybe make the help more "in your face". I'd like to have sound, and a restart option on death.

didn't hear any audible, seemed to crash early

Developer

There is no sound in the game, I did not have time to focus on that

The blackhole worms look so cool! How did you implement those? On a minor note, it was a bit hard to understand what exactly I had to do...

Thanks, well there is an animated procedural skeleton and the objects move towards their points, the project is open source so you can launch it in debug mode to check out how it looks.
True, the objective is not very clear, and the game phases are clearly implemented last minute :P I focused more on the physics and animated bodies than on making an actual game

Wow. This could be one of my favorite entries in the JAM. I know it's a demo, but WHAT kind of demo. I loved graphics, physics, UI, really everything. Looking super forward for futures updates, you did an amazing job.

I love the physics of the black hole garbage worms(?)! This is a fun idea. A couple of points of feedback:

  • I didn’t know the controls so in the beginning I just dashed into objects, trying to throw them at enemies that way. When I later tried it with a controller I realized you can “collect” the titular garbage, then it started being fun!
  • I feel like the enemies HP might be a tad high (I only played on easy mode). After battling in an area for a while there aren’t many objects around anymore, so I had to go away, pick stuff up, and return to the monster. I felt like it would have been nice if they took fewer hits to defeat or if the walking speed was a bit higher.
  • Interesting interpretation of the theme! Your ammunition becomes the enemies’ body, which in turn they use as ammunition themselves, don’t think I’ve seen this concept before.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks ! The balancing and pace is not great indeed, I focused more on the fun concept demo thb ^^For either keyboard or controller you can pause the game to see the keybindings for each player

I missed that I could see the controls with Esc. But after that, it's quite fun. Having to balance ammunition collection with combat makes it interesting.

Though said to be a prototype and being pretty unfinished its sick as hell and honestly has some amazing potential in the future. Id love to see this become a full game someday!
