I was finding that I could draw random zigzags and still end up with valid attacks. Was curious and took a peek at your circle detection -- that's quite simple / elegant and seems to work well enough for a little jam game. Cool.

I wish there was a little more feedback about the state of / result of an attack.

Thank you so much for trying out our game!

Yeah we couldn't get the monster's death animation to work consistently in wasm -- the code is there, for some reason the particles tend to spawn at (0, 0, 0) on most systems. A very unfortunate turn of events, but I sure am glad you took your time to look at the circle detection :)

Cheers, and thanks again for giving it a try!

It took me a little while to understand the meteors were killing me... the death is a bit abrupt.

I'd like to see death animations for the worms and myself.

Still a fun game, and on theme.

Neat game.  I had fun once i figured out you need to close your drawn circles.  I would like a stronger visual effect on the meteors to make them more readable.  It's very easy to die to them while focusing on drawing, and sometimes it feels like I died to nothing because of it which is a bit frustrating.  Maybe they could cover a larger area but take longer for the circle to grow fully, so they are more readable while your focus is elsewhere, while still putting zoning pressure on the player.

It is fun just blasting worms apart though.

Played this game on a graphics table and let me tell you its so much easier that way haha. Very fun.

Really nice design! I agree that the drawing of shapes can be a little difficult to see, maybe they could be full lines. A lot of fun though.

Developer

Thanks Philip! I wish we had just few more hours to improve drawing shapes really :'(
I'm really happy you enjoyed, wish you a beautiful day!

A fine addition to my "cool games I suck at" collection !

Developer

Thanks!
I couldn't agree more, I can't believe that the first person that tried this game beat my record at his first try by a lot :')

Great game! It feels very satisfying to actually survive long enough! Also, it seems to me that this game can expand tremendously on every direction. Very promising!

Really cool game!

If I may give an advice is to improve the visual for the shapes of the attacks. Sometimes when moving the cursor fast it is not really clear what shapes you are drawing, but maybe it was just my impression.

Kudos to you guys

Developer

Thanks a lot for your feedback, I'm really glad you enjoyed!
It wasn't your impression, cursor shapes was left little bit behind, it will be one of the first improvements after the JAM ends.
Thanks again :)

Great graphics! Reminds me a lot of Risk of Rain 1. The player character looks really cool and has nice animations. The dash feels responsive and has a nice range. Only thing I’m missing is some kind of death animation for the enemies; having them despawn instantly feels buggy. A simple solution could be to ease their alpha down to zero while they stop moving.

Developer

Hey Jan, thanks for your feedback :) Yes I agree with you that enemy instant respawn doesn't feel ok, but I'm looking forward to improve it after Jam end :)
Glad you enjoyed!
