This game looks gorgeous, and I really dig the aesthetic. When it came to the controls however, I was left a bit frustrated. I found myself wrestling with the movement and dash button. And if I were to make a small suggestion, when doing wall jump mechanics, NEVER make it where pushing away from the wall makes you let the wall go. You have to jump off the wall to get to a facing wall. If you push toward that wall, you let go and can't jump. If you push toward the wall you're on, you don't jump far enough to get to the other wall. It's a catch 22. You have to take the directional movement out of the equation for a successful vertical wall traversal. Other than that, great job! I hope you take this one further, because it does show a lot of promise.

Ooh, this felt like a chill game at first because of the ambience and audio but became harder and harder ahaha. Somewhere along the way, for some reason i felt like a grim reaper looking for souls while avoiding the traps the humans have set up (laser beams, falling platforms, etc.), haha! . I didn't get to the boss cuz I'm a noob, but now I am wondering if its a mob of angry humans xD.
Anyways, other than that, I also experienced the same concerns as the others here on the controls so I shall not repeat the same feedback. Cool game, keep up the good work! :)
This is a really well made game! There’s just a couple of small stuff that felt a bit off. The dash felt a little too abrupt, and it wasn’t always clear exactly which direction it went towards. Those little crystals that give you and extra dash were also a little difficult to see for me - it might help to have some more feedback on them, like a sound effect or a visual cue when you grab it. Same goes for the falling platforms - generally speaking, some more audio/visual cues for those kinda things would be super helpful imo. The walljumping and platforming felt a little off - have you looked into jumping mechanics like coyote time? Those would be really beneficial here I think. The combat also felt a little slow and clunky, would be nice to have faster attacks and maybe less health and/or knockback on the enemies.
These are just suggestions - I think this game was great overall, and I’d definitely play a longer and more refined version of it! You did a great job on this one, congrats on making this and I hope you keep working on it!
Although it is so fucking hard, this game is incredible. Good colors, good music, great combat and so much more. I just wish there were more tutorial levels, because that combo thing was really hard to hit properly (maybe I'm just bad idk). If you're willing to frustrate yourself, give this game a try. I still didn't finish it yet.
Please support a gamepad or multiple key control layouts - I thought this entry looked really interesting but I couldn't really play it with that control scheme. Maybe it's just me but I was feeling like I need to break my fingers just for a simple dash. Apart from that just like I said: looks super interesting!
Ok, so I felt that the movement mechanics weren't quite right, especially the dash: it was extremely fast, and I feel it could be more controlled if it was slower. The visuals were good but not perfect, you could've added more visual effects and particles, and the tutorials could be more readable and visible. At first I didn't know the little arrow in the dashing tutorial was supposed to be the cursor. The gameplay was quite good though.
Your game is very nice visually and fits the theme well. I can tell you put a lot of thought into the setting and atmosphere and it turned out really nice!! The character is really cute too!! While I was playing I had this thought that it would be cool if the falling platforms lit up when you land on them. Idk why I thought that, but I thought I'd share that with you :D
Amazing Jam!!
The controls are a little weird, the platforms mechanics are a bit rough, but the visual style is amazing, also really cool ideas in general well done!
Cool game! I liked the color mood. Attack animation was nice too. Controls are a bit unforgiving I think. Like jumping from a platform or a wall should still work a couple of frames even when you already fell of the platform, it's not realistic but feels nicer. Also I had a really werid bug when I spawned at a checkpoint it saved my last movement and dashes up into the laser again and again :/ Nice entry tho :)
Well done, beautiful platformer.
It turned out to be not convenient control for me: it would be better to assign a jump to W, but a dash to Space. There are not enough sounds. Good luck with your development! =)
