I guess presentation was my downfall

Nice game! I think this game satisfies everyone's primal need to make the DVD logo hit the corner of the screen. Nice job!

Games where the player needs to bounce something away need to be careful because the obvious solution of "just make the velocity negative" leads to very rigid, Pong-like movement that the player can't control much. Solutions where the player can control the outgoing trajectory of the bounce (such as making it bounce more upward if hitting it with the player's head or more downward if hitting it with the feet) give the player more control and make it more skill-based. That said, I enjoyed playing it 🙂

We have a great game loop. I tried several time to bring the square at the end but didn't succeed ^^

I saw that some green rocks bounce the player instead of killing him. I don't know if it was attend.

Maybe to improve the readability of the AI block you could add a trail therefore it will be easy to understand the trajectory.

Well done mate :)

Cool, original idea. Very difficult, but that's what a rage platformer is! What exactly ythe green rocks did was slightly confusing however

Well scoped, and it's definitely a rage platformer! Most rage games I've played use learnable triggers for the obstacles. I found the robot's bounces a bit too chaotic and I couldn't plan in advance where it would go, which made the game a bit too random for my liking. I got into the second to last room a couple of times before succumbing to the rage!

Nice idea! It was fun to try and figure out how to maneuver around the robot to make it go where you want it to. I feel like what is dangerous and for who is unclear. At first I assumed the green rocks were bad for the robot to hit until it bounced right off, then maybe bad for me to hit, I landed on one without an issue so they just seemed to be fine, but later on though I bumped the side of one and died.

The green rocks were a last minute add, I think I may have messed up the collision script a bit. Thanks for the feedback.

It's a neat concept and seeing it get a little bit more polish on the movement would be excellent but if you're going to put sound in your game please put sound options in. You nearly made me go deaf with that bouncing noise being so loud from the start

Developer

Sorry about the sound

I like the floaty movement a lot! But to be honest, I had to give up after a certain amount of time. Plattforming while preventing the robot from killing itself became a bit too frustrating for me ';).

LOL I hate that robot, amazing work giving that much personality to a grey square!

The 'tweet' / 'click' noise that plays when the robot bounces is going to be seared into my head for a while.  I had to mute it eventually.  The game could use a little coyote time for the jumps, as I felt more frustrated by how the character moved than how the AI bounced.  Rage games and escort missions are a match made in hell.
