I recorded playing games with commentary, and your game is one of them.

Here's the link to the whole DD50 folder:

It was great to be able to download the game and record it in peace and tranquility. The video is longer, than it should be, but I hope my suggestions at least make it more interesting.

I played this at a previous Demo Day and it's nice to see it again with some improvements. It's still hard as balls though, but to be more specific, the difficulty curve gets quite steep quite quickly. You watched my stream of it, so you could see how much I struggled. But it's looking good.

You should definitely get this on Steam and shill it to a few streamers, I can imagine it getting very popular with that crowd.

rabbit man likes to clip down into platforms that are moving upwards

holy carp its so hard to tell where the frick i am during the internet level, my eyes are confucius

but by that level i was loving the game even while i was fricking hating it, which i REALLY didnt think was going to happen while i was bashing my head into the sewer walls 200 times

it wasnt even so much a normal learning curve as it just seemed misleading. in the game you're moved towards where you're looking and pulling back goes up, but going off actual pogostick logic you should move backwards in that scenario, not gain extra height. its like wtff? ? why i go that way??? i pointed opposite ?? so itd just make more sense if instead of a pogostick it was some kind of a clown unicycle rocket thing or something and you named the game "clown unicycle rocket thing 3D" but like whatever, only noobs dont master the controls by the time you get to the cyber hell lake

but i woulda frickin QUIT if it wasnt for the LUDO aesthetics of the sewer level, so im assuming thats why you shoved the hardest bullpucky into that section without easing the player into it at all

Fun but a bit too punishing, i suspect its on purpose and tuned to your own preference of playing it over and over.

My biggest issue is that the mouse "deadzone" is too low, more often than not my mouse went outside of the game window without having gotten the right amount of turning. I would start off with some much easier levels so the player learns how to control it properly.

I would say it's fun but frustrating. Was able to get through the "Swamp", "Drawbridge", and "Throne Room" areas but I couldn't get past the "Temple" area.

Here are some notes that I took while play:

  • Pogo sound in menu is aggravating to listen to. As well as in game. Maybe make music louder than Pogo sound?
  • Mouse control is weird, when turning sometimes the view "snaps" (Could just be an issue on my end)
  • Game is very difficult in sort of a "Getting Over It" way. Probably intentional.

Please add anime girl sounds every time you fail.

I only got to finish chapter 2 but I liked it a lot, really loved the choice of music and atmosphere you were going for too. The pogo controls is a nice challenge to get used to, but when I start moving too quickly it became difficult to regain control of the pogo stick and at that point it was faster to smack your head against a wall and return to the checkpoint, so some way to reset or slow down your movement state might be nice.

new sound effects and levels  it looks like good progress

Awesome game, I did end up rage quitting but no deaths felt unfair. I just suck. Would like to see some cool particle polish but it does it's job as a tough platformer with unique mechanics. good execution!

Hey this ran fine on my potato pc. Nice dark magic you have going.
I like the atmosphere, it kept me calm while the number of skulls increased.
A childish part of me kinda wishes the skull for number of deaths had rabbit ears lol I know it is not a good idea, but I thought I'd share anyways.
Controls were a  positive surprise.

Hey HEDGEWIZARDS, was worried this was some troll version of the game. Some of the collision on the moving blocks was feeling a bit off; once I got to the below part I definitey had times where the pogo doesn't collide correctly with the blocks. Often if the bounce was too shallow, the rising block went inside the bottom of the pogo and caused a crash instead of pushing the pogo up. Below is as far as I got.

Update: Child saw the temple level and gave this off the cuff feedback: "Is that Miiiiiinecraft? And something that isn't Miiiiiincraft ontop?"

Fun, funny and addictive.  Good game.  Only constructive criticism would be nicer graphics and sound effects and particles.

Not much to say aside that I've loved it, and will probably play some more.

I had a few laughs in between all the frustration, which is a very good thing for a game like this.

So yeah, sorry for not having any useful feedback. Here's a video of my playthough, which was the first time I tried your game:

The repetitive pogo sounds in the main menu are aggravating (fun fact: they speed up when the tab is not focused). The gameplay is very frustrating, but that seems to be on purpose. I do not like the rabbit. He takes up a lot of the screen without conveying much useful information. Functionally, it would be a lot better if he didn't exist (or was a lot smaller). Considering the difficulty of the game, stages should be a lot smaller. There should be some alternate mechanic/interaction to give the player a rest-stop in-between checkpoints. Currently it's just exhausting. The stages need music, and some sort of external reward for progression. Like cutscenes, lore dumps, Tamagotchi-raising, or literally anything besides more pogo stages.

I tried out the new areas and I died quickly, I'm not good at the game and the moving platforms got me. The music is way too low, also I know that sound effect was from Sonic when falling out of bounds in the Internet stage. Still fun and keep up the good work.
