very nice I like the music a lot and it started getting pretty fun once I started getting used to it. I feel like the rocket launcher needs something more to make it worth using I feel like its just kind of a worse version of the shotgun though I guess the rocket jump is its thing, maybe it would be cool if there was a weapon with limited ammo that let you blow up parts of the level to make your own path.
link to itch page Chamoisee-Canvasback Prototype by Narcitheus game is still pretty rough and has bugs but should give you an idea of the vibe and type of game
link to my twitter Narcitheus (@narcitheus) / X I post progress on my work daily I'm usually only able to get a little done each day so there's not really a rush to make the music
I do not make much at my day job but I'm willing to pay $50 to $100 per song and I only need a couple if the game is a success then ill pay you more for more music
Right now I think the game needs something Sci-Fi themed and ive had my heart set on something inspired by drum and bass/ ps1 kind of sound, thought if you think something else will work better then I'm ok with going in a different direction.
As long as you've made a bunch of music and have made at least a couple good songs then your pretty much up to my standards I don't care if your self-taught or a hobbyist, though I do not want to work with kids so you need to be an adult (I'm in my 20s).
example of the type of sound I'm thinking of
thank youI like the mechanic of the brother being a mouse you click with it makes the switch from platforming to puzzle solving feel unique and there's probably lots of puzzles you and make where the brothers need each other to solve them like the battery one in the demo, I like the tech theme but I think the colors need to be a little more of a signal of what things are as i kind of had to take damage by something before I knew it was dangerous.

very cool reloading with the scroll wheel feels very powerful, and I like the music , and I like the art style though I feel the walls should be a slightly darker blue for more contrast.
even though its not realistic I think it would be cool if the different ammo types had distinct loading and shooting sounds
I wondered around for a little bit I liked the atmosphere a lot, I also like the concept of exploring a kind of abandoned place like this I feel like it would be cool if I got to a location higher up and it let me spot something in the woods to go look for it would be cool.
I do feel the music is a little out of place I feel like its kind of too in your face and not subtle enough if that makes sense
very nice I noticed how warm the color pallet was playing this time and think it adds to how cozy the game feels, makes me wonder how a level with a cool pallet would feel. I like all the characters and how jumping around feels. I killed all the little goblins then got stuck in the little area in the screen shot I feel like there's an obvious way out I just cant get it.
everything feels very nice and smooth I have never played craps before only ever roulette. I completed the tutorial and was able to get a vague idea what was going on and beat the first 4 levels I think. I Like all the achievements I was getting and it would probably be fun if there was cosmetic meta progression that let me change the background or put up Christmas lights around the board with the money I win. I think that there should be more of a visual difference between the parts of the board that I can place chips on and the purely informational parts of the board. I think this is a good game I was getting pretty into it even though I never played craps or gambled much.
also web version would not work when I tried to play, desktop version worked good
nice lots more items since last demo day and everything feels good my only criticism would be that the damage sound effect starts to get annoying when your hitting lots of stuff, and only thing I found that might be a bug is sometimes the item info panel would stay up after I moved my mouse away.
I like the pets a lot would be cool if some of them were references to other games like a pac man pet a space invader pet ect
I don't believe the shop was implemented the last DD I played very cool to see them working now.
I think the best feedback I could think of to make it better right now is sound effects, when you swing your sword and when you hit enemy's It needs more impact.
let me know if you want me to test something specific and ill play again later today
today
I think there's lots of cool ideas and potential with this game, even though its pretty bare bones right now I was getting into the groove of running the shop then go to dungeon.
issues-
when I first got to the dungeon there was a framerate stutter only happened once then never again
the was some soup stuck on the floor after the first day I could not pick up
I think there needs to be a mechanic that incentivizes the player to trade with customers, because when people came in trying to sell me stuff I would just offer them $0 to make them leave, I think part of it was the dungeon giving me so much stuff.
also took me a while to figure out how to barter on price I might have not read some text somewhere
positives-
I like the western aesthetic I think If you make it so that stuff is kind of made out of the monsters in the dungeon it would have a cool fantasy flare
It would be cool if there where pets that have one use in the shop and a different use in the dungeon, like a slime that cleans up the floor in the shop then finds rare items in the dungeon.
Presentation is very nice I lice that its more on the dark side visually
was not expecting the difficulty of the mini games ended up having to focus to beat them (I like it would be boring without difficulty)
I like that its kind of mini games mixed with mini story's gives each one a little more uniqueness
cool to see your using sdl like me I'm curious if our code looks similar, I used lazyfoo tutorials and I'm like 5000 lines deep in one file right now
I will say the target shooting game had black text on a pure white screen and it blinded me
sorry it took so long to return feedback, smacked goblins around for like 20 minutes.
If this is the same game I'm thinking of from many DD's ago you have made some crazy progress.
when I first booted it up for a second, I thought the art style was old school RuneScape but dark and gritty if that's what you're going for I would lean into it because I don't think I've seen anyone do it before.
I see someone else complained about resolution resizing so I won't point it out.
I have played diablo one and two and a game called fate long ago that are all this type of game I think you have the right idea focusing on loot because all those games were too I feel like this game needs something to separate from the others I've played though like fate let you have a pet that you could transform and diablo had the dark atmosphere. I feel like the loot getting thrown up in the air after you kill an enemy could be turned into something, like the player has to catch the loot to keep it maybe the whole town is obsessed with loot and uses it to build up the town idk just spit balling ideas.
I don't think I found any bugs others haven't found

always see you posting progress cool to see how much you made, I have never played a mech game before so I cant think of anything to compare it to / don't know what is considered good in the genre. I like the handmade anime portraits, I also like how you mixed up some big open environments and dark claustrophobic ones. I only played through 5 or 6 levels I feel like there should be more enemy movement patterns/ attack types, like a fast enemy that try's to circle around you to shoot you in the back or a mech that's like a sniper and you have to avoid there targeting system. Very cool game lots of cool things you could do with it

very interesting game I don't think I've played this on any of the other DD, I like the music and the more laid-back relaxing kind of gameplay I think you're going for. I do not know if I'm the target audience for this kind of game but my brain immediately wants to be able to decorate/ reorganize the little cafe and make it my own, maybe adopt a local stray cat and have it hang out in the cafe. I'm not going lie I want to be able to play as a boy, also no curly long hair option to match my hair.

only played through the first puzzle and looked around I'm short on time right now so I might play more later
the art and style are awesome I can pretty much tell immediately if something is a clue or not I will say I think the blue boxes you fill your answers in should be like little torn scraps of notebook paper or something
also when going through dialog I feel like there should be a button to go back to the main dialog options (there might be one already sorry if I missed it)
this games super cool
keep up the good work
did the first three quest kids ball, cocaine elf, and one for the crying guy no bugs
art direction is very unique I think I would call it grunge but that might not be the word
I like that the story is introspective and seems personal it seems like your going through the programmers emotional and creative past and its an intimate kind of story.
I feel like the combat needs something im not sure what,
the animations feel good and energetic but normal rpg combat feels to plain for something with this much character
nice very cool, clerics are op! took me a little while to understand exp was limiting how many characters I could have also im thinking the little waiting area outside the arena is to swap out team members for strategy purposes?
I think this is a cool idea and it could have a lot of depth if you could customize characters and have different strengths and weaknesses

wow very polished i managed to send the enemy attack back a few times and it felt very good, spamming long range attacks is a little to effective for the bot to handle
