Very fun game! Perhaps a limit to inventory size may be a good idea.

Really great game! I have to echo what Ethan said about the UI, everything felt really readable and intuitive. For constructive criticism I felt like the boomers were really easy enemies, and just amounted to free kills. Bombs also felt OP bc I could just throw a rusty bomb into a crowded room and usually clear it. But it hooked me all the way to the end :)

Thanks a lot for your feedback. Yeah this game needs a bit of balancing (can you tell I barely playtest this ? :P). I actually had the same problem with the boomers just killing the whole room, wanted to tone down friendly fire a bit but it was already too late :/ (another one for the post jam bucket)

This is awesome! I think the star of the show here is the UI design, which is just as complex as it needs to be, and instantly readable without any instruction required. I had a bit of trouble understanding when an enemy was going to hit me, but aside from that everything's great!

Thanks a lot, and I thought the UI was a bit lacking, glad to hear it's not that bad :D

I had an idea about showing up enemies intent but had to cut corners eventually to finish up in time, I guess I should try to make a post jam version of sort

Pros:

  • Nice art style; The main character is very cute. The cutscene at the beginning was very professional and well done too.
  • Decent variety in enemies, level palettes and items. I liked that friendly fire was enabled for enemy explosions.
  • Well paced. I got to experience lots of what the game had to offer.

Improvements:

  • I found the game was a bit too easy. I completed it first try. Perhaps up some enemies hp or reduce the drop rate for items.
  • Add some music and sound.

Bugs:

  • None that I could find ;)

Overall, nice little game. Good job!

Thanks a lot for you feedback !!!

I haven't take the time to properly balanced the game unfortunately so you end up with really different difficulty levels randomly for now. And same sounds couldn't make it in time for this jam :/
