It’s a nice mathematical game. I appreciated the mechanical depth and all the possible combinations you can make, adding replayability.

Awesome, thanks Michael! I did try to make it repalyable, so I'm glad that point came through.

Yes, I am glad this function exists, so people will have different playthroughs and if someone will watch a video about it are more willing to try that themselves and see what they will got ☺️

Fascinating little game that sets a troubling tone. I'm certain I'll be dreaming of those elusive circles and hearing that haunting music in my dreams.

Gameplay was simple, but the variations in pets was really intriguing and tempted me into finding them all. The actual pets were (aside from the adorable fox) disconcerting in all the right ways. Seeing the rigged creatures was really awesome too. I'd suggest maybe some cool outlines for the evolution guide instead of the actual pictures to entice more people to completionist status. I'd love a little acknowledgment of finding all the pets.

I did enjoy playing, but finding the toughest pet was a trial of patience as triple triangles thwarted me again and again. Still, after about 20 tries I got it and was quite pleased.

I still feel you're very out of your element in this jam. It's well designed to be super approachable and get people replaying multiple times just to see if there's a better ending they missed. Since my first playtest, the game went a step up from being an arcade clicker and went up to being a horror-themed clicker. It's still not quite a horror game yet

From the story in the game, I notice you opted to play into a fear of rejection and a fear of weird monsters, but the game execution still puts an arcade clicker highest in priority and the fears you're playing to in the backburner. If you're going for a 'cosmic horror' I very strongly recommend reading some HP Lovecraft for some classics or looking at Subnautica 1 or Iron Lung for video game takes on cosmic horror, that's one of the hardest genres of horror to pull off in a video game and usually works in a literary medium

Thanks for the second look and critical insight. I’ll keep working on trying to find ways to elicit those feelings that make horror “horror.”

This was lots of fun. At first I didn't get it, but once I figured it out, it was lots of fun unlocking all the different forms of the plant. Solid job and solid artwork.

Okay, this was cute as hell and made me laugh when my first playthrough ended with my family being disappointed because my pet didn't grow. It made me play 10 MORE TIMES just to show THEM. Anyway, I thought it was funny and extremely addictive. But I ended up just mashing the middle of the screen just to get enough points for my pet to evolve before the timer ran out. You may want to have text windows if you want to give advice on-screen, or make it so the player has time to read what the screen says so their time doesn't run out before they've finished reading the instructions.

As the artist for this game, it actually is. I remember getting a fairly high growth count. Though advice isn't always visible, you'll find it when you least expect it.

Thanks for playing, and I’m glad you enjoyed it so much!

There is no time limit on the game, so you have all the time in the world to read the text - assuming you stop clicking when the text appears. I’ll consider other approaches to making the tutorial text obvious but not intrusive.

Oh, that might have been the problem then. I probably clicked and didn't notice as I tried to read it. Thanks for the heads-up. :)

Cute game, seems kinda luck based but I had a few longer runs. Its so easy just to jump in or restart pretty cool stuff.
