Fishing mechanic is realy curious! If you inplemet it in a complete game, it would be so good! If you want you can play my game: https://itch.io/jam/-pixel-game-jam-2024/rate/2718966
My friend got a score of 99998...not sure if that was a bug but very fun to see! Tricky to get the hang of the movement -- thanks for sharing!
This was super cute! Would love to see in an update the cat getting happy whenever a fish is caught. I would also suggest changing the water to match all the other game elements but it still looks good.
CATFISH!!! The concept is wonderful, and I'd love to see further development on this after the Jam. The fishing is a bit too straightforward, there aren't animations or effective display of the water. Keep at it, for a Jam this is a great start!
cool art, on the main character, the parts with different resolution kinda make it feel a bit weird though, wonder which kinda music would fit
It was enjoyable, though I wish there was a bit more to it mechanically.
Also, I see reading the comments there was a score, I could not see it and when I hit Full screen mode it froze, wonder what's going on there. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Clicked cuz of the cat.
Stayed a while to catch some fish.
Lovely art, do wish there was more to the game. Mechanically it worked by add in a goal structure to make it more enticing.
Also a small bug, I would check on the UI Scaling as since I played on a small screen, the point system wasnt showing until I went full screen.
Art is cool, the background could be better, and you should prb add audio. Check out my game when you can :)
Very nostalgic. Couldve used more mechanics, though!
