Thank you! We just watched your stream and appreciate the feedback. We wanted more upgrades and interactions with Farmer Chuck, but ran out of time. Glad you enjoyed what we were able to get done!

That far target should definitely be worth 10k! This is a great submission - I played for quite a bit.

One suggestion would be a button to reset after you've let go of a shot. When you know you're not hitting what you aimed for it's a bit of a drag to have to watch for 4+ seconds. The wait time after the shot hits is also too long IMO.

I assume the targets are worth different amounts? It would be cool to know that, besides the far one being black. 

Seems the best way to get seeds is to just blow everything up, reset and repeat.

Great suggestion on the shot reset button.  Yes, when you know you're going to miss that far target it does take a little while to finish it's landing.  

Tutmo can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the red targets are worth different amounts.  The back one is the only one that has a different amount and was added to provide another layer of challenge.  I think we spent a majority of the time trying to implement the first layer of challenges for the player (just chucking the pumpkin) that we didn't have time to think about how add progression and additional challenges to our targets.  It's been a big takeaway for us this jam.

Wow what a fun game haha. The explosive pumpkins are a....blast. It took me a few shots to figure out I could move around to increase the shot power, but one I figured that out I was having a good time. I tried a BUNCH of times to hit the far away target and I nearly got it a few times but it's just to hard to time for me.  The theme was on point as well, got a real harvest festival vibe. 

Awesome entry. 

Thanks for your feedback, Mag!  Glad you liked those explosive pumpkins!  If we used our time better, we were thinking of adding firework pumpkins and pumpkins that exploded into other tiny pumpkins.  The sky is the limit.  Maybe for a post-jam update?

Happy to hear the Autumn vibe came through.  In previous jams, we were really lacking in environment, so we pushed ourselves to really embrace all things leafy and Autumn.  In hindsight, we may have been able to take a less polygon-intensive approach to the environment, but we're learning!

Chuck's face must be hurting from smiling! That far target was a real treat to shoot for, and something about explosive pumpkins I find amusing to no end. I didn't notice any technical issues other than the pumpkins being a little sketchy to try and pick up - had to move the mouse around a bit to find the sweet spot. Awesome game!

Haha! Yeah, Chuck ran into some issues. We planned for an idle animation among other things to bring him to life, but ran out of time. He ended up a bit creepy 😂 And yeah I messed around with those pumpkin pickups a good bit, but never found a sweet spot for the raycast to hit the whole pumpkin from all angles. It was an odd issue I just accepted and moved on lol. 

You actually hit the far target?! It was setup like other targets, but with tons more seeds to drop if you hit. Admittedly, I only tested it enough to make sure it was possible to hit, but never got it myself. That’s awesome if you got it! 👏 Either way, thanks for playing and providing your feedback!

I hit the far target a few times actually - just need to time the shot right! The frame rate dropped significantly for me when all the seeds spawned, but I assume that's more of a hardware issue.

Wow, that’s very impressive! And not surprised about the frame rate, the way I spawned the seeds is mostly fine for 20 - 30, but the far target drops 500 - 1000 haha. I could’ve definitely optimized better, specifically for that target. Hopefully it went back to normal after the seeds were collected. Thanks again for playing!

Thanks for this feedback, Manbo!  Yeah... on paper, Chuck was intended to be a wholesome pumpkin farmer.  In execution, though, he ended up a little "smiley" and way too still.  :)   I'm impressed you were able to hit the far target.  I still haven't been able to get it either.  Well done!
