I have a couple games that i have made for my self and im a new game dev just starting out. I was thinking should i post the games and is it worth the effort?

Becouse at the end of the day there is a small chanse to be discoverd right?

So im not sure weather i should go trough the work to make the games playable for public and relese them or no.

I'd say go for it, I've enjoyed sharing my games and having them played (granted not a lot).

Yes, if you want to be a game dev, then the experience of doing a store listing and completing a game is valuable - regardless of whether anyone plays it much.

In my opinion you shouldn't publish every game you ever made but the ones you think are worthwhile playing. If you publish a game you need to go the extra mile with a help function and a credits page, maybe even localization (which in my opinion has the extra benefit all your texts are in one place and easy to find should you - and it is going to happen - discover a typo during game play). I myself have started about 30 games over the years, most of them playable, but I published only 6. The last game I didn't publish felt more like work than like fun and I had to admit to myself the idea wasn't as brilliant as I thought.

I agree that u shouldnt publish all of them. I have two games that are preaty good and i think  are worth a publish.

I think you should definitely publish it. Share your best games, keep updating them, and look at the feedback—you can learn a lot from the community’s opinions.

Yes, you should post them 🙂

Even if the chance of being discovered is small, sharing your games helps you learn, get feedback, and build confidence.

Every dev starts somewhere, and putting your work out there is always worth it!
