Gifs on the game page do not play.

Previously, the gifs I placed in my game's "Screenshots" played normally, but now they remain static on the first frame of the gif until it is opened (clicked). Could this be a bug? How do I fix this?

Me too

We’re deploying some changes to our image processing pipeline and it looks like some incorrect entries got stuck in the cache. Might take a moment for those to clear out and original functionality to return.

My game-page banner is an animated gif. I re-uploaded it today (10/10/2025) and it still doesn't animate. Should I just wait for the cache thing?? If it's not supposed to animate I would rather use another image because this one has that some weird color "artifacts" from the reduced color palette that comes with gifs.

...it's just that I happened to be here changing some other stuff on the game page and I thought I'de sort this out too...

...I know...

It seems like that the issue still persists?

It does for me anyway.

Yeah- Regardless of whether this is truly a cache issue, it's definitely not fixing itself by the looks of it.

Yep, my gifs don't load and we begin our first marketing campaign in a few days. I sincerely hope the devs fix the issue soon.

In the meantime, you can host your GIFs on another site and embed them in your project description using the img tag, and that will get you some GIF action on your page at least.

Same for us. I wonder if they planned to do something at one moment. We work a lot on our last pages, and it fucked up everything ahah
