When Will the New Payment Processor be Implemented?

We're approaching one month since Itch.io announced it would be seeking a payment processor that is willing to facilitate the sale of NSFW content.  Since then, I have seen no updates.  We cannot allow this problem to be forgotten or overlooked.  Until Itch secures a payment processor who does not enforce censorship, it is failing to serve the creators it depends on to function.

Itch must pursue this problem immediately and with its full attention if it can ever hope to emerge from this situation with its reputation and the trust of its userbase intact.

Hold Itch accountable.  Keep this issue on the forefront of the forums.  Let them know that capitulating to PayPal's censorship rather than replacing them is a failure and a violation of our trust.

Patience is a virtue, but in the meantime we must be adaptable.

Adaptability is essential for surviving in this crazy world; it makes us stronger.

While we should hold them accountable; we also need to understand that itch is a small team. They don;t have the power, money or resources to keep up with us or billions of people posting their games and gadgets to itch.

They might be waiting for Trump to make good on his EO threat as he's been making good on a lot of his threats; but I do agree either we or they need to do SOMETHING.
At this point, I'd even accept Itch GIFT CARDS, as it's money they'll get and can probably redistribute if they had the ability to do it.

The only thing Trump's "made good on" is obfuscating his ties to Epstein and sending the country further into Authoritarianism.

There're at least five projects I would've liked to have purchased by now.

SOMEONE COULD AT LEAST NURTURE MY WORRY!

-edit-

I am not joking:

Cyclopean: The Great Abyss by Schmidt WorkshopsinfeZtation by Monte Boyd, Knights and Slimes 64 by Monte Boyd, Kero Kero Cowboy by MetagameMike

I'm pretty sure they were lying about seeking alternatives, honestly.
I will eat my hat if they actually prove me wrong.

I'd like to disagree, but they were dead silent when I asked this previously in response to their update.  It does not bode well.

Oh, look, turns out a payment processor reached out to itch and were rejected outright.

Yeah, fuck itch.io

told you they were fucking liars and couldn't be trusted

That's crypto... it's one thing to search, but quite another to be desperate.

Dude, the last thing *any* platform needs is crypto bro involvement. That shit's as toxic as Collective Shout.

Yes, because a form of payment that means setting up a  whole new way of dealing with money, and that money doesn't even retain the same value and can rise and fall in seconds meaning you're more likely to end up with the money you put in worthless in the time it takes you to add the money and buy the game.

Crypto is a scam. It's always been a  scam. It has worked for a few people other than the scammers.

I think I already have a feeling about what's going to happen.

We'll have the same payment processors as Subscribestar Adult.

And I think that's fine, that platform is successful with those providers.

Would love to see that come true.
