Hello all. We are just starting development and we want to clarify if what we have in mind does not violate the rules. We want to make a game that consist of several 20-second parts. On the jam page, it says that it's fine to do that, as long as items or progress does not carry over, but in our case, those 20-second levels move the overall plot forward. The levels are sort of connected (there is no inventory, so literal stuff does not carry over, but the progression does). Is this allowed, or do the 20-second levels have to be absolutely separate? Thank you!

Hey, yeah, we do not have a team account, so it's just two separate ones (we're a team of two). Here: burgermaker2000, emotionally_damaged.

Sorry for a late reply, and thank you!

Hey! Thank you so much! We'll definitely come watch :D

This game is so cool, the concept and gameplay are really unique and i was genuinely invested in the story you built  up. Great stuff!

Hello, glad you like what you played!

You gain more cultists right after the third level, when the cultist icon appears on the map.

Hey, we'll be very excited to offer our game :) -- https://turtle-ghost-studio.itch.io/no-cost-too-great

We hope you have fun!

Really cool game and great concept! atmosphere is superb, feels very polished for what its trying to be.

Thanks! and yea we really want to expand on the game after the jam ends and just add more depth to the progression.

Hi thank you for playing our game!
I used game maker studio 2 and did the full screen effect by using the function window_set_full on the create event on a object at the beginning room, this is supposed to start the game with full screen.

The sound design is awesome, and i really like the hand drawn art style! atmosphere and camera work are also really cool.

This game is definitely my favorite out of all of the submissions! The cutesy artstyle, the care put into the SFX -- the floorboards creaking and bubbles in the cauldron -- all are insanely good. Keep up the amazing work!

The art is absolutely adorable! The vibe is also very cute and extremely halloween-y kind of fun. Well done!

Thank you so much! Our artist says thank you, too :)

Hey BYTEZIED,

If you're still interested in checking out our game, we're done -- https://turtle-ghost-studio.itch.io/no-cost-too-great. For the best experience we recommend playing in full-screen.

Hope you like it and good like with your stream!

Our game is up! we mentioned it before but now we released the page.
Would really appreciate if you can try it and give us feedback!

Hello we are going to upload our game soon but it doesn't let us add a cover image, if we upload the game without one before submission can we add a cover art later if the option becomes available?

Hey!
A lot of devs have probably said this already, but we will probably keep perfecting our game until the deadline. We will send you a link once we're done; ours is called No Cost Too Great!

We would be very excited to participate! :D
