Didn't expect to see an auto battler here. I think the visuals and audio fit for an auto battler, perhaps the UI could be a bit cleaner. Decently fun, took a while for me to lose but it eventually happened. Overall, pretty good submission.

Pretty fun entry! I like that the normal attack has a combo rather than one repetitive attack. Fits the theme and has a clear beginning and end. Somewhat replayable in that you can try out the different upgrades. Thought the music was good. Parrying is satisfying, but, somewhat easy if you use it on the beginning of an attack. One thing I think this game suffers from is that the initial enemies are easily stunlocked. Maybe some sort of combo breaker or wakeup move from enemies could switch things up. Granted, if you worked on this longer, I'm sure there would be more features.
Really cool game, first computer vision submission I've seen at an ISU jam. Fits the theme well and it worked really well with my webcam. Audio and visuals were clean and I liked the art style. Pretty good submission for a short game jam game. My biggest issue was my arm getting tired from holding it up for so long.
Fits the theme, but, could be more complete. There are various glitches that occur; such as, the max health not updating the health bar, the gun refusing to fire, the stats refusing to let you buy them, diagonal movement being faster than non diagonal movement, and being able to move while in the shop. When it comes to the audio and visuals, I think they fit the game well. It could be nice to have an indicator for the spawn locations of disasters and/or enemies so you don't get hit because of an unlucky spawn. Of course, there isn't a ton of time to make a game during a jam, so, this isn't a bad submission at all. Decent job, just needs a bit more polish!
I really enjoyed this game. I think it's a good concept and I like the different buildings; I used pretty much all of them, so, I feel like the game is successful in making them useful. The visuals and audio are clean and simple. Sound effects aren't overdone. The levels actually had a good amount of challenge to them. On the last level, I resorted to spamming generators and walls. Cool game!
This fits the theme very well, I like the lightning catch mechanic. I'm not sure whether or not the game has an end because I kept dying to the slingshot enemy, I feel that giving them unescapable homing shots is a bit much. Maybe it would be better if the shots were leading shots instead, or, if the shots could get shot down. Despite this though, I still think it was a fun entry. I especially like how the lightning speed is randomized and that the visual and audio queues update with it.
Very nicely done! I think 3-D pixelated graphics are a pretty cool aesthetic and you definitely pulled it off! The attention to detail is also really awesome to see. The orbs of smoke in the background really drive home that feeling of escaping the flames of eternal damnation because you burned your toast!
I thought the main concept behind the game was really interesting! It was a cool idea to have the player plan out their route and set up traps in preparation. I feel like the actual traps themselves didn't play as big of a role as I expected, but it was fun to play nonetheless! The general look and feel was also pretty cool, and it was a nice touch to add torches for the player to light.
This game had a really neat atmosphere! The music, art, and sound fit together well. I liked the use of lighting a lot. I feel like it does a good job of making you clear out rooms and check for scientists. It also put some pressure on you to constantly check for enemies. It wasn't insanely terrifying when enemies did get the jump on you, but the sounds of them hitting you definitely made me feel as though I was in danger.
This is a pretty interesting clicker/idle game! I like how you can control the environment by placing down gems and resources. The sounds, art, and UI all really fit well together and the upgrades actually felt useful to get. While you can't play it endlessly like other clicker games, I feel like this one is a pretty good length for a game jam game.
Pretty good game jam game! I really liked the perspective and art-style, as well as the design of the user interface. The small details were a nice touch and it was cool to see the slimes you rescue follow you around as you moved through the levels. While there wasn't a huge variety of enemies, I thought the different enemy types worked well and that the layouts of the levels produced pretty good variation.
Nice beat-em-up with a pretty good amount of polish for a game jam game. I feel like everything comes together pretty well and I especially liked the music and voice lines. The art-style is visually pleasing and I enjoyed the fact that you ran through a variety of backgrounds before reaching the end.
The actually gameplay felt pretty nice as well, a little repetitive, though I feel like it would be hard to add more variety in a 7-day timeframe. Certain enemy attacks would be hard to predict/bait out, but overall I'd say the game felt pretty good.
Also, if I'm correct and there are i-frames when you jump, I feel like that is a really nice touch (the final fight became easier when I figured that out).
This game has a really nice feel, I like the 1-bit style and sound effects. One thing that confused me a little at first had to do with the size meter. For whatever reason, I initially confused size with score and got somewhat frustrated when I became to big to dodge (lol).
Granted, thinking about it now I actually like the idea that the longer you last without getting hit, the more hits you can take before you lose. Though it could also be cool to see your score update in real-time.
I think this game fits the jam theme in a pretty inventive way and that you executed on the concept pretty well. While there weren't many levels, each one brought a new mechanic and required a different strategy to win. Some of them did feel pretty difficult (almost to a frustrating extent, though this was mostly due to making many attempts without much thought), but after some thinking I was able to figure them out. In fact, I think I actually found the game to be more fun when I treated it like a puzzle game (rather than an aimlessly run around and press e on houses game lol).
Some of the graphics were somewhat confusing in isolation (though I was able to figure out what they were based on context, specifically the buildings. I think that part of this has to do with the top-down perspective and how it's hard to identify the roof of the building when it is composed of two flat colors. That being said, I don't dislike the graphics, I actually think it all fits together pretty well. The music and sound effects were also a nice touch.
Overall, I actually think this works pretty well as a game jam game; it fulfills the theme and requires a surprising amount of strategy for an almost one-button game.
While the gameplay is somewhat repetitive, I thought that this was a pretty well polished experience and jam game. I thought that you fit the theme pretty creatively with the shapeshifting chef and I really liked the small details (blender animation and sounds, running animations, powerup noises, etc.).
One thing I didn't like too much was that fact that sometimes it was possible for a run to end while you are waiting for the right kind of fruit to spawn. No big complaints otherwise though.
Cool game!
Really like the look and feel to the game. Think that the audio and visuals match well together. I like the idea of using light to defeat/delay enemies. It's fun to try and avoid enemies for as long as you can. With that being said it does get pretty repetitive eventually. Also, a good strategy for time is actually just to stick on an easy level and run in circles for a while(which I may or may not have abused for a little bit). Good job!
Pretty impressed by the game you guys made. Really like the visuals and attention to detail. The audio was really impressive as well. I found the mom's character model to be pretty unsettling(which I'm assuming is intended) and I got a good thrill out of trying to escape without getting caught. Really cool game, good job!
Thought this game was pretty awesome. Despite looking pretty simple everything about the game seemed to fit. Even how the game just exits when you lose(lol). Really liked the small details like the dog flying off the map when you collide with something, or how the music changes with each level. Good job!
Thought this was pretty good. Liked the sounds and animations. Thought it was also neat how it seemed like some of the rocks and stuff were randomized. Also thought the way the humanoid enemy moved was kind of cool. It started to feel a little repetitive but I thought it was fun enough to play through the end. Good job!
