In what way does your game fit the theme?
The more income you make, the more tasks will appear on screen (and the more chaotic it gets to finish them all!)

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and art was made from scratch. Sounds and background music were pre-made before the jam.

Only issue was the full screen... the game view kinda cut off around the edges.

Other than that,  this was simple yet very clever. I really enjoyed it :)

It was really stressfull! Good job! Only problem I had was that some of the windows was outside the fullscreen so it was hard to see them.

I like this game very much. It reminds me of the pop up virus. It's extremely fun to fight these popping windows and the fact that no metter what you do you are doomed to failure, gives this game a dipper meaning. Very well made game. Keep it up!

The lounge background music works well here. I like where this was going. It'd be nice to see more variety in the dialog prompts though.

Developer

agreed, just ran out of ideas for the tasks. thanks for playing! :)

Well done. I love the old esthetic. Windows popping over what I was working on... thanks I hate it. :)

I think the game really fits the theme. Having so many things on my screen infuriated me and I hated that I couldn't clear it all. In other words it was perfect.

There is something really relaxing about this, I feel like the music just makes the whole thing not chaotic. It's pretty fun to play and it was over right when the tasks became too repetitive. I liked it!

Reminds me of the early days of the internet with all those pop ups. Interesting concept and I definitely like the art and music pairing for it.

I love these "boring" chaos games! They're always super creative and sometimes too real! Great game!

It started off so calming to play chilling with a tea, $1000 in and I almost tossed my cup to get serious xD

Developer

haha thanks for playing! :)

Great idea and quite cool implementation! I smiled immediately when I saw the classic Windows environment. Only thing that caught my attention was the number buttons to write codes were a bit too small for my taste :)

Rated with pleasure!

Amazing concept, it suits the theme very good. It sometimes gets tricky in terms of UX when a lot of tasks appear on screen, and some of them overlap, but other than that it's a very simple and fun to play game. Great job!

I saw your progress on discord and wow the idea you had is brilliant. I would loved if you used some retro sound effects but thats just a suggestion. Also you should look out for how your game adapts for different screens, I use 16:10 aspect ratio and the left part of the game was cropped (luckily this didn´t affect the gameplay but you should take it into account)

Developer

thanks for playing! :) I’m not on the discord so you might be thinking of another game. Also, the game was made in 1080p so that’s probably why?

Submitted(+1)

LOL it was because of the aesthetic. There are various methods to force 16:9 aspect ratio in unity, that may help you resolve the problem :)

Developer

gotcha will definitely look into that next time, thanks!

This is a cool idea, I like the gradual build up and you nailed the aesthetic. My only critique is there's not much variety in the tasks. It might help make things more chaotic if the player lost money if a task went unattended for too long.

This is an accurate representation of what it's like to use my grandma's computer...

Anything just kinda fits with this game. The elevator music is relaxing and driving me insane at the same time. The sounds that unleash hell upon the already panicked brain because there are already ten unattendede windows. The pixel art is very fitting and now I want an os that looks like this!

One thing that would be nice would be the ability tho move windows around... But I guess with enough windows on screen this doesn't matter too much.

All in all a very addictive game perfect to kill some time!
