Hey there! Thank you very much for such a detailed review 🫶

I will definitely fix some unintentional bugs I didn't catch during the development, and poor game design decisions. I didn't have too much time, but yeah, I know it can actually be better.

Talking about the real foundation... well, it's actually more of a creative technique, haha. To stir up tension. It is not based on a particular document, but rather on historical and fiction/part-fiction books, such as "Blood Meridian," "My Confession: The Recollections of a Rogue," and "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee". The great works, by the way.

Good concept! Unfortunately, the game is short :(

The visuals are a bit messy, but I guess it was an actual design idea.

I would love to play more, hope the dev will continue working on it after the jam!

Haha, good platformer! I like this visual style, and the gameplay itself was pretty smooth, though sometimes I had to wander around to figure out where to go. Good job!

Wow, such a creative project! Perfect music and SFX, beautiful visuals, and... a tutorial (though I would let the player read it from the beginning, not just after death).

At the same time, I would add an ability to set the full screen and change the resolution, as I had to play a downloadable version on a tiny screen. Good job!

Short, yet incredibly creative platformer that relies on one, but very unique mechanic. Actually, I would add some animation to the player and some background music, but otherwise the game is cool. Good job!

Well... It's an interesting concept, but only a concept for now. No sounds, visuals are rough, and not much content. It's possible to make it a cool ".io" type game, though. I hope the dev won't abandon it after the jam.

BHahahaha Blmao, bdefinitely bone bof bthe bbest byet. And the one that is actually weird (you got five points for that, yap). The visuals, the music, an absurd story. Yeah, these are everything I love in games.

There are some technical issues I would suggest fixing to improve the experience:

1. I can't enter full-screen mode. Not a catastrophic issue, but still.

2. There are no footsteps sounds; sometimes its absence feels like emptiness between the scenes with sounds.

An interesting game, though it was too difficult for me 😭 Skill issue, I believe.

Well-made, considering the time allotted for development. Good job!

The visuals, FMV animations, sounds... It's a masterpiece. Absolute Cinema. Love it.

Literally me after a 16-hour shift

Okay, seriously,  it was hilarious. The best thing that could happen to jam.

Hey! Good game :)

However... yeah, I know that the theme is blackout, BUT IT WAS WAY TOO DARK 😭😭😭

I set the max monitor brightness, but still had to get as close as possible to see what was going on.

WOW! Great one. Nice music, perfect design, satisfying gameplay. I will definitely return to this game after the jam :)

Haha incredible game! It gave some amogus vibes lmao.

Thanks for the review 🫶

I'll try to polish the game better after the jam.

Thanks for the review 🫶

It works for me!

Hey there! Thanks for such a detailed review :)

There is actually an aiming feature in the game! Maybe you didn't use it, or (more likely) there was a bug.

When you're holding the gun, hold RMB.

Hey! It was an interesting project (the monster's model scared me lol).

I have several things that would make an experience better:

1. Add pause menu. I know that I write it almost under every game... but yeah, haha.

2. There are almost no sounds in the game. If you'd add even something like SFX for robots/footsteps, it would make the game much more immersive.

3. Initially, I didn't understand how the flashlight (that turns on when you press LMB) works. Maybe you could add a small tutorial window in the beginning.

Hey! I really liked the game, it was a simple yet interesting experience :)

The music is beautiful and fits the gameplay perfectly.

The only things I would like to highlight are an inability to skip the story dialogues and the absence of the pause menu.

Hey! Yeah, of course, just gotta come home.

Just to clarify: did you rate mine?

Thanks :) I will!

Thank you for your review :)

Hey! That actually makes sense, didn't think about it.

I put the content warning.

Good game! For the first time in a long time, I had to rack my brain to succeed haha

The only thing I would complain about is that there's no sound, but otherwise it's a great game.

WOW

It's... yeah, it's sad. And truly heartbreaking. The visuals, the short preamble, and the music were a perfect combination for the purpose of evoking emotions.

Talking about the game itself, it was an incredible experience.  Very well polished, simple, and beautiful at the same time.

If you want some points that would improve the experience:

1. There's no pause, and the main menu. It is not that critical, given that this is a jam game, but I couldn't stop it when needed.

2. It's actually possible not to pick up any weapon at all: a pistol has endless ammunition, and it's actually much easier to kill mafia members with it rather than melee.

3. It was difficult to hit the enemies with melee. Almost every time I successfully did that, I was hit too.

Hey there :)

I liked the game, it feels like a today's boomer shooter (which I love). I can highlight several things that could be fixed to improve the player's experience:

1. I can't turn the fullscreen for the game. It initially launched in a small window, and I had to do some technical things to expand it to a bigger one.

2. There is no sound of footsteps; it would make the game much more immersive.

3. It's way too dark in the levels; sometimes I couldn't see anything and had to find my way at random.

4. I initially didn't get my goal and the function of the SHIFT feature. Though I managed to figure it out, I would add a small tutorial window in the beginning that would explain the basics.

WOW. It was truly an amazing experience; I enjoyed every second of it. A short, but fairly madegame. The visuals are amazing (thanks to Aeron).

The only feature I would add is the ability to rotate the flashlight using the mouse. Like, to any angle.

I think it could be a great prototype for a much bigger project :)

It's... wow. A really interesting concept! I know it's a prototype, but I see real potential for this one :)

The things I noticed during my run:

1. Maybe you could make the first explaining text skippable. I started the game several times, but had to wait until the entire text appeared.

2. When I press any button during the starting screen (with the name of the game on it), a ridiculous set of text appears. It feels like a bug.

3. There is no pause button.

Thank you!!

Hey!

I just created a page for my new game,  My Little Hell. It's a short psychological horror. This is the story of a person who committed something so horrible that he was confined in his personal little hell. He's been there for many decades; his memory leaked, and his brain turned into mush. Step by step, he tries to recreate the chain of events that led him to this place.

It's a bit of an experimental and very personal project for me; the development is almost finished, and the game will be released roughly at the end of August.

Thanks for reading this :)

Thank you :P

Thx pal! These words mean everything to me :)

Thanks, mate

Nice, silly game! I liked the artstyle and the music.

Hey there! Good game :)

The only disadvantages are animations (they are A BIT chaotic while moving) and the main menu (I can't leave the credit section after pressing on it).

A cute and heartwarming game :D

Cute, short, silly game. I liked it :3
