Charming art style! The gameplay reminded me of Dumb Ways to Die. Quite enjoyable. The only issue was that the game took a while to load... perhaps even a bit too long.

Got a Coke on my very first try. Don't have to play the game. Great! :D

But seriously, this game is incredibly addictive: you really wanna finish it. It feels polished, complete, and is a lot of fun to play. Great job!

P.S. stuck on deactivation code

The artwork is great and the voiceover is amazing. The game looks very polished!

A more "explain it to me like I'm a child" style of tutorial would be helpful. I didn't really understand what changing the energy level actually did. I was only focused on making the spotlight as bright as possible to light up the actors…

and then suddenly there were two actors at the same time :O

Overall, it's a great Game Jam entry. Very well done!

Nice game, easy to get into: there are no complicated rules. The shattering effect after the fall is a nice addition!

I found the board positioning a bit disorienting. It feels like the ball should naturally fall downward, but it doesn't seem to have any kinetic energy as it only starts moving after a long press.

Overall, I could actually see myself playing this game on my phone, especially if it used the phone's tilt as part of the gameplay. It reminded me a bit of those TikTok ads where you have to choose between options like +1 or −1000, whenever I had two ways to go

Haha, that's the price of gambling. You might be on top now, but if you want to improve your score or keep your first place, you'd have to risk everything. 🤠

As for the keyboard layout: yeah, that's a great point, and definitely something we'll keep in mind for future games!

Originally, the game also had an aiming mechanic, so players had to aim and press the buttons at the same time. To make automated scripts harder to use, we set a few random buttons. However, in the end, we decided to remove the aiming mechanic and add more buttons instead. We never really thought about the physical placement of the keys themselves, so thanks for pointing that out!

Fair point!

It generally starts as soon as you spawn. That said, from a UX perspective, your feedback is totally valid. Thank you!

I like the artstyle and the consept is vey fun Xd

Awesome game, considering it was made during the Jam.

We've had similiar idea, but decided not to pursue it due to lack of time (funny enough, we subsequently moved to something that proved to be more difficult for our team, so we resorted to something simple..)

It was very interesting to play!

Haha! Very nice game with a great idea. Perfect for GameJam!
As some people said: would love to see it as coop

Frank's Bizarre Adventure

Hello everyone, we have made Frank's Bizarre Adventure during KaJam 2022 (hosted by replit.com).

In this game you will see a short story of science-wannabe Frank, who lives with his mother.. and this time, he makes and sells spice 🌶️

Short, time-management, story game. All the dialogs are subtitled and voice-acted.

We are continuing to work on it. We are preparing prequel, where we will explain the story behind this pepper and clarify some unclear moments.

This game is free and you can play it in browser!

We would like to hear what you think!

Hi, so, to be clear: 'designed' means not included yet?
Shoot animation, for example, is not added, only designed - will it ever be added?

Right, so...
The game looks good, but controls feel a bit weird. I am not sure what's wrong with it, I just didn't have "I like it" feeling..  Shooting: if you walk + shoot, sometimes arrows will lounge a bit off the grid, dealing damage to the enemies anyway..
I found it difficult (probably because of combinations of enemies..)+ challenging. Smart way to make a menu as you did, liked it!

Overall, good job.

The gameplay is nice! But there are two things that kept me frustrating:
1. Even if it's 3D all the enemies are still in 2D and sometimes I couldn't see them properly because of it. Also, their colors are the same as the environment - confused ..

2. Weapons .. maybe I didn't understand how to do it properly, but I guess you can't "not pick up a weapon" ..

The sounds are nice. Music is cool ..
Overall game kept me for a while, because of progression (mobs, points, and etc)

Good job!

The game looks really good.
Controls, as it was already mentioned before me, are kinda rough. If you go with a mouse, I suggest 'right click' for movements, and 'left click' for shooting. But "WASD" would be preferable.

The idea is great. Levels are challenging..

Interesting idea, but wasn't really new..
Agreed with "HackTrout: I think more feedback like screen shake could add some oomph to player input". Sometimes, I just thought that the char. jumps by itself..

Anyway, great job!

Very loud surroundings and a very small amount of levels.
Good story, well done!

Agreed with others: something wrong with controls.. Sometimes he would go by himself..
And sometimes I would be stuck in textures.

The Idea was fun :)

I just couldn't understand the game: it really made me confused..
Creative use of the assets for sure! Animations real good.

I think, good job! Just wasn't for me..

Simple and good.
Music was kinda to the left ear to me..
It would have been more fun to play with friends, but it's another level of development.

Well done!

Liked the concept, found it challenging.
But the music was really loud..
Upd: Background animations (boats)  and "death" screen are nice..

Good level design, but I found frustrating the jumping system. It just didn't really do it for me. Controls felt heavy..
I liked how you've made diamonds and coins, and the game percentage.
Good job!

Thanks :)

I just didn't see the goal.
It just there is no point to grow. And then I met someone who just instantly killed me ;0
BUT:
The game looks nice, the map made very good, NPCs are well done! (but sometimes lack of them, made me frustrating)

Very good job!

The music is satisfing.
(Did it change every time you restart the game?)

At some point just wanted to stay and listen to music.

Controls are killing me ;0 *literally..
Sounds also were too loud for me, but I liked how the music changes with the level. Honestly couldn't make it far.. The checkpoint system would have been nice..

Anyway, it is a good job!

Great idea.. the last level was cool!
A bit laggy and loudly when the wave coming, but it's ok.
Train animated super nicely!

Train animated super nicely!

It's very engagement.. But I think, it lacks background (grass and stuff),  minimap would also be nice, but zoom helps a lot.
Really liked the movements..
Good Job!

The game looks finished, it's nice.
But I found it been a bit difficult to understand..
Very good use of art assets!

I like that you have several endings..
Sounds were a bit "sharp", but the shaders are awesome!
Overall nice game, magnetism-mechanic real good..

Thank you :)
