Hello! I can recommend an indie game project you might like. Just to be clear, I’m not part of the dev team—I’m just helping spread the word and connect people.
Also, your Unity + UI work looks really solid is what they need. The only issues is that the project is volunteer-based (unpaid) and it might be a bit more long-term than what you mentioned. But if you’re still interested, I can share their X (Twitter) so you can check out their document and apply, as well as the lead developer’s account in case you want to ask for more details.
So, I’d like to clarify that the Discord server isn’t mine—I’m just a fan from the community trying to help the actual creator.
Here’s the situation: I recently joined the server of an indie game that has been in development for over 5 years. The project lead announced they were looking for volunteers, so I decided to help with recruitment. At one point, I recommended a pixel artist who seemed like a perfect fit for the role. However, a few days later, they suddenly left.
At first, I didn’t ask why, since they mentioned they were working on another project, so I assumed they were just busy. Later, when I messaged them asking if they knew anyone else who might be interested, they explained the real reason they left. They said that after joining, they didn’t have anything to do and there wasn’t much communication in the server, so they felt it wasn’t worth staying if progress would take a long time with no clear involvement.
Honestly, their reaction is understandable. The project is still in development, and the staff doesn’t always have time to respond quickly to volunteers. I apologized to them for the experience.
The main issue is that the project lead is mostly a solo developer with a small team, so there’s only so much they can do to keep the server active. They prefer not to release unfinished content, which also limits engagement. I'm open to give me solutions.
i'll send you the link of the discord chanel, then send an DM to the head-lead of the project(boshthefrogboi). He's actually pretty busy at the moment but he respond to you eventually. https://discord.gg/DxtkeUpX
I'm so sorry, I'm just helping spread the word. I'm not part of the staff either, and he's actually pretty busy since the game is still in development. But from what I know, he says that any help, no matter how small, is totally welcome in the project. If you want to join, I can send you another link.
Hi! I saw your message about Audio offer. I'd like to recommend a visual novel game volunteer project that could help you build your portfolio and gain experience. There's no need to be heavily involved in the project—the lead developer appreciates any help, no matter how small. If you wanna join i'll send you a friend request in discord(cami2000).
