Hey, great game! Thanks for attending our jam. Here are some resources on game making that you can use in the future!
Most of us used Godot, try it out!

Really like the initiative here :)
An interesting game, I see a lot of potential but the controls throw me off too much to enjoy it.
The art is great, and I really like the mood of the game. But reading the instructions and trying to figure out how to use the dice to attack... It didn't make much sense to me.
An example, I am told it is ok to re-roll twice - but does that mean any number of dice 2 times, or am I allowed to re-roll only 2 of my already rolled dice? Further, using the dice for my skills was unclear, is there a number threshold?
If you could communicate these things clearly to the player within the first 30 seconds or so of the game I think it could stand out a lot more. Lots of potential here!
Interesting, but I'd like to see more!
I get that this is just a demo, but I'm liking what I see! The visuals are amazing, and the different abilities work really well. I think it could be amazing with some more time!
I had issues knowing what my hitbox was thought as it seemed to be smaller than the sprite? Unsure, or it just was not communicated very clearly whenever I was invincible.
Great game!
1. Kind of, minor bugfixes are generally accepted if you can prove that they impact the experience in a major way. Please make sure you mark future uploads as FIX or 1.1 or similar to show that it is not the vanilla upload.
2. No. No tricks. A dummy is fine, but don't submit something that is not finished yet. Update your dummy and then submit it to the jam when you're done.
Bonus. HTML5 covers all platforms, totally fine substitute.
Looks like your computer is having issues with the shaders, I suspect you're running on an integrated GPU. OpenGL3 and iGPUs don't work well together in Godot. I'm really sad this was your experience, but it seems to be something on the GPU backend causing it, which we simply cannot affect. All we can do is wait for Vulkan!
Can't format text in the blurb, here be features and controls!

- Exciting high seas combat

- Day-Night cycle
- An open world to explore
Controls:
- Move with the mouse and W/S keys
- Check with Map with the M key
- Boost with SHIFT
- Aim with the Right Mouse button
- Fire with the Left Mouse button
Hi, sorry to do this but - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_jam
This jam is for making games in Godot.
Hi Terces and thank you for your long and thoughtful review. The points you brought up will help us grow and improve as creators and they are hugely appreciated, I won't go into detail for each point since I don't feel like I can defend any of the decisions taken at this point. But thanks again, you've helped us immensely with this.
I think I beat the game? Level 3 doesn't feel finished since there is a long pathway to nothing in the middle of the level... And once I beat it the game froze. :(
Other than that, I love the art, the idea and the idea but it would really benefit from having a few levels introducing you to the abilities and then gradually getting harder, the jump from level 1 to level 2 is pretty high atm.
Would have loved some music too!! A bit boring when its so quiet...
Great looking, great sounding but not great feeling!
While the graphics and sounds leave little to be desired the core gameplay just was not entertaining enough. You need to think about how the player experiences your game, and doubly so for a jam game. I spent about 10 minutes on the first level (and I honestly dont know if there are any more) and I could get to about 4 points before getting caught. It's just not very engaging to sit around and wait for a guard to get to your cactus and escape. It would have benefitted from some dedicated level design and a clear goal for each level, rather than just getting points.
Thank you so much for this video! Happy you found the game entertaining even though it still has a few kinks to be worked out. Your feedback is incredibly useful for us moving forward. We'll soon release a pretty big update that fixes a lot of things, however the mouse sensitivity is still pretty slow in that one.
Thanks again!
