  • Its charming but asks WAAY too much from the player upfront. I don't understand the parameter ABCD hints. Each hint felt fair but I couldn't get the panel to do anything. The existence of an unknown value branch makes it feel like ur supposed to brute force this. It's just feels waaay too opaque; hard to recommend as is.

The randomized reality code generation, and translation manual.

Incredible game. 4 seconds into playing I was already hooked.

good goofy dialogue, nice music, pixel art and animation are on point:) it would be helpful to indicate what is interactable, maybe with a highlight?

Nice little game, loving the style

Nice style to the game and I enjoyed the intro and atmosphere of it.

I tried the puzzle several times, but the instructions were just too ambiguous for me, I thought I'd worked it out correctly several times - but it never worked. I didn't know if it was the sequence, or the deltas that was wrong - so it was really hard to work out which bit wasn't correct so I could go back and work it out again.

For example, the sequence could be interpreted as  right->left/up->down, or up->down/right->left, clockwise, anti-clockwise - there's a lot of ways. Also the deltas could be the difference between the numbers given, or the sequence itself, or the reality code. Any one of these could be logically correct, but there are no clue to what method is actually correct, therefore without knowing what was wrong in the code, the only option is to go through all the possible countless combinations until you get it right, so it seems down to luck if you happen to pick the right.

I did enjoy the aesthetics of the game, and the style was great and I liked the fact you could teleport out of the main area - but that puzzle was way too ambiguous to work out...

Thanks for the feedback, that's really helpful. I'll make sure to make it more obvious which deltas are meant (the reality code's). I think you may have been really close. The four images as you guessed correctly hint at the sequence order. However, it is actually rather clear what is correct once you make the connection. If you look at the input slots more carefully it should become evident immediately. Thanks so much for giving it a try :)

Absolutely adore this game, it's incredibly well made and you deserve a lot more love for it, puzzle was difficult but it gets there. Really wish this game was a bit longer I'd say.

Sad I can't play it! (Mac). The visual seems very good by looking at the screenshot you provide!

this is phenomenal work thank you

I really loved the art style of this game, it's absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the puzzle made no sense, what does delta mean? Is it just the difference? What does position mean? Does it have something to do with the angled pieces? And how are they ordered? left to right, clockwise, anti-clockwise, there's too many different ways, and not to mention the letters next to them. I suck at text comprehension though so it might just be me.

Hey Indee, thanks so much for giving it a try. I understand that the manual is a little ambiguous and I'm working on that. The last four pages of the manual tell you how to get A, B, C, and D, while the third page hints at the order they need to be input in. When the manual mentions "examine the delta (difference) between positions 2 and 3," it's referring to the values at the second and third positions of the 4-digit reality code. Essentially, most of these requirements should be directly applied to the reality code. Hope it helps and that you’re willing to give it another chance :)

Alright gave it another go, and yeah it makes a lot more sense knowing that the position is referring to the reality code. The ending was pretty funny, especially when he-

Please make a full-release of this game it's just amazing. The art style is incredible, the music, the dialogs, the puzzle, everything is great, I want more!!

I like the vibes, the lore and the details behind it that the player can imagine is awesome, how you introduce the history, the way characters talk, the art and the sensation that just being there watching the screen gives me is just amazing. Did I mention the art? It is just incredibly well done.

Even tho I'm not a fan of pixel art in general, graphics look really nice, atmosphere is good, supported by the music

The puzzle is hard and takes some time if you do it on your own, but I feel like it's mostly due to the fact that all of the puzzles are mixed together, and that you can't get any "validation" when you think you finally understand one of the sub puzzles
I think it can depend on people tho, and I know that some people who love it

Final room location should maybe be more explicited, and the end of the game was rather sudden

Hey Progz, seeing your live reaction was incredibly useful (and super fun), and your feedback was very practical and personal — it really helped me improve upon my game. Thanks for giving it a go and taking the time to play through everything. Much appreciated :)

I'm so sorry, I tried to solve the first code thing but got stuck :( tried opening the instructions on an other screen, no luck....
Though the graphics are really amazing. Sick animations, really, very nice color palette and it looks soooo nice put all together !

Developer

Hey dude, thanks for your feedback and for playing. Do you mind telling me where you got stuck so that I can potentially improve upon the puzzle?

Litterally the first stuff sorry :D I tried my best following the instructions multiple times but it wouldn't work... I think it's because I didn't exit the code entering interface. Jumping from menu to menu is not very intuitive and it would have felt better with multiple tabs on the same one ?

This game looks and sounds ridiculously good. Loved the music, and the art, and the effects, and the shakes, and the little letter shuffling in long texts—easiest 5 for presentation in my life. The dialogues are well-written. The puzzle took me a few attempts but I enjoyed it nevertheless, felt SIGNALIS vibes while solving it. The game crashed while I was talking to the bird, sadly; I can't tell if it's intended as a reality reset or is just really unfortunate. In any case, I enjoyed my time and this is a very strong entry. Good job!

Developer

Hey dude, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the "crashing," was actually scripted but had no deeper implications. Honestly, I was just really pressed for time and had to improvise an ending, which ended up being quite abrupt haha
