Hello everyone, sorry for the delay I ended up being quite the busy bee last month.

It's not much but I went through and gave as much feedback as I could, if you didn't add any pictures then I didn't have much feedback to give I'm sorry but I still hope you had fun.

As for the winner, my favorite submission was Parallelised Worlds by Edward_McT because the noise is very cool and I hope to look into it more.

Thanks for everyone who participated, I hope to run some more lower stakes less serious events in the future!

This is really awesome looking! Yes unfortunately raymarching is extremely extremely expensive and that's why in modern games we still raymarch at 1/4 or 1/8 the full resolution.

I hope you keep working on it, thanks for your submission!

Great work, I think your results look really incredible and mountain-like! I hope you continue improving on your idea.

This looks very beautiful! It can be pretty hard to generate rocky looking terrain and I think you nailed it. Shadows would look extra amazing here!

Thanks for your submission!

Such lovely colors! It makes me happy to hear you learned so much despite not considering yourself a math person. I hope you continue to work on and improve your skills!

Thanks for your submission!

It turns out, not calculating a billion octaves of noise at runtime is a lot better for performance, it's true! Good job implementing those techniques, the shadows look lovely.

Thanks for your support!

I really love the dramatic red lighting in the 5th example photo, it's so ominous!

Thanks for your submission!

Your erosion looks amazing! Good job getting it implemented.

Great job! It's funny you said you wanted to create the fog but gave up, but what you implemented essentially is fog! Just changing the color of distant pixels. I hope you continue to work on it and figure out how to get the camera position over!

Thanks for your submission!

Amazing work! It makes me so happy to hear you aren't as afraid of graphics anymore, but my biggest advice would be maybe don't do the grass so soon it's like really hard and would probably be very discouraging! Unless you mean the simple quad grass in which case ignore me.

Thanks for your submission!

Great work! It's true, camera systems are the devil.

Thanks for your submission!

Great work! It's nice to hear you have so many ideas and possible extensions, I hope you continue to work on them!

Thanks for your submission!

Great work! It's always nice when you can see how far you've come since starting, I had a similar realization when I implemented my terrain as well. Your terrain kind of makes me think of webfishing.

Thanks for your submission!

Awesome job! It's true, programming shaders isn't actually that hard since the programs are small. The concepts though are quite challenging, but it seems you have a good grasp already! I hope you keep improving on it.

Thanks for your submission!

Very beautiful renders! No idea why but it is invoking Ratchet And Clank for me, which is a good thing. I hope you keep on improving it!

Thanks for your submission!

Great work! Volumetrics are so much fun and for me where vector calculus started to make a lot more sense, definitely recommend!

Thanks for your submission!

Great work! The example photo sky view looks really awesome, I agree that foliage is very hard.

Thanks for your submission!

Great job!! You wanted to do only one thing but then you did many things, how inspiring.... I hope you keep doing more things!

This looks great! Parallax mapping can be pretty challenging so good job! The lens flare is also charming.

Thanks for your submission!

The fog looks beautiful! I like that it's low to the ground. I'm happy to hear you experimented so much! It's not easy but you did it anyways.

Thanks for the submission!
