Same level, lose XP.

I don't think I've ever gained a level upon leaving Outerworld. If I did, I'd be very happy and all my characters would be level 90.

That soft/hard crash thing. I figured a way around it. I still need to close the game, but if I click on a character, their stats appear at the top of the page and when I close the page, the quit menu appears, at least it did this time. So x1 battle speed wasn't a cure-all, but maybe this workaround didn't exist at x3 speed. Maybe it did. Maybe if a frog had wings it wouldn't bump its ass when it hopped.

I have downloaded Rick and Morty season 1-6 for an epic rewatch. Time to get my mind off teaching and gaming for a while.

I'm sure it won't last.

I'll be playing, complaining and theorising before the night is out, probably.

Remind me, is there a specific point where this typically happens?

I have downloaded Rick and Morty season 1-6 for an epic rewatch. Time to get my mind off teaching and gaming for a while.

It only happens after completing an Outerworld level. Any kind of level: fight/trivia/puzzle etc.

Then again, do you think I'll gain a level if my character has closer to a full level's worth of XP? Two of my characters just levelled and one has 1.3k/1.6k.

I could try leaving and see what happens.

Based on what you described before, exp creator is not working properly, so I don't expect them to level upon returning to Sanctum.

Whatever it is that you're fixing, adding, altering or MacGuyvering, I hope that expedition hammers are near the top of the list. I have three now and I am not very good at wielding a hammer with my feet.

I thought of a possible bonus you could implement for having multiple of the 'same' character in your party, Reds, Zins, Halo, Sora etc.

+10/25/50% XP/Cred/something in Outerworld earned depending on whether you have 2/3/4 of the character in your party.

Yay! 84.9 is my new favourite number!

But why doesn't show in my feed that there is an update? All the other devs I follow have a feed post to go with their updates or new projects.

You can consider these as quiet updates. Once I feel I have enough changed I send out a post pertaining to all of the changes (usually consisting of a range of versions).

I now have my Soul Summoner building in Expeditions and I see how everything works there. Very interesting.

It will take a few more days before I can really comment further on this. Maybe even longer. I feel like I need an equipment generator room for Sanctum and then about 6 months of idle time, logging on briefly twice a day, then I shall be ready to carry on.

Of course, I won't do this.

Something I always wonder with these games, but I stopped trying over a decade ago is seeing what will happen if I forward the device time by 12 hours. Is the game clock set by a server or by my local time? If my device can make it possible to cheat with a time skip, that is definitely something that you should make impossible.

However, it's practically impossible to make it impossible to cheat in a single player game for a determined individual.

The main question players must ask themselves is: Do I cheat and potentially ruin the meaning of progress?

Ultimately, this is up to the player, they are the owners of the game, and I'd like to leave it up to them.

Personally, I don't have a desire to cheat in single player games, because if I go down that road, I won't be playing the game for much longer as the meaning of progress would soon be lost to me, and one of the aspects I like most in games is a sense of progress.

A strange visual glitch that occurs only in 84.9 is that during battles one character sometimes stands one space on front of where they are supposed to. Like right now I have an empty shield with a list of buffs below it and two characters standing on the front row.

Also, I have started a new Outerworld run with low level characters. One of them was at about 83/96 XP but I couldn't resist checking the hammers. But when I left Outerworld he had levelled up plus an extra 9XP. Then again, it could just be the idle XP gains. But maybe the XP thingy works better on your low and midlevel characters but not the top characters.

Then again, seeing as I still don't have a clue what you are trying to achieve, I don't know... how to finish this sentence and I don't really know why I started it.

Hmm, so upon testing this several times.

After XP gain from XP Creator the souls (regardless of level or exp) always gained XP or gained a level.

So I'm not quite sure what's happening, as this suggests that XP gain from XP Creator works. (Thinking face)

Furthermore, upon revisiting the code, it's currently not possible to add a negative amount of XP to characters from the XP Creator.

This suggests that if you are experiencing XP loss (not quite sure how at this point) it's probably not from the XP Creator, (based on recent testing).

In terms of your sharing XP theory:

For the XP Creator, XP is not shared, the amount of XP Gain is independently applied to every character you've unlocked.

OK, but I think that it does something weird with the four souls in your party. I can believe that the other souls are getting XP as I have about 150 souls, many of which I've never used, but they are at various levels up to 12.
