That's a really good first game ! I hope you'll do more of them 'cause this has a great potential !

Thank you very much! I hope to make many more in the future!

Wow, really good for a first game, well done.

My only gripe was I couldn't tell if I was damaging the boss, but I stuck it out and defeated my demons and got that cute end screen so it was worth it.

Can't wait to see how you'll improve!

Developer

Thank you very much! I'll keep seeing enemies being hurt in mind for my future projects!

Ah, so both the player and the enemies lunge towards their target when they use their swords. Interesting. Since this is the first game you've made on itch.io, I'd say you're off to a good start.

Developer

Thank you! I hope you enjoyed playing!

I liked the sprites animations, that slash animation is really well done.

Thank you!

Damn fine job, especially for your first ever game! I enjoyed the retro aesthetic and little details like the way the character follows the crosshairs around the screen with their head. I couldn't seem to get the dodge to work for some reason. Obviously some music and SFX would have added a lot, but I know there's always a time crunch. I would have also liked to see a score counter so I could keep track of how many demons I slayed. :)

Thank you very much! I didn't have time to make an animation for the dodge so it works it just doesn't look different. I didn't have a kill counter because the game has an end to it. A boss will show up after a certain amount of time. Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed!

Dang, so I just didn't survive long enough. *facepalm*

I like the rythm of this game, it's a satisfying game in my opinion!

Too bad there's no sound, but hey, this will be probably be the case for your next game!

Good job for your first game and good luck for your next projects :)

Developer

Thank you! I would love to include sound for my next project. Glad you enjoyed!

For a first game, this is pretty great! The combat is fun, it really sells the idea of slide-slicing past enemies samurai-style. You could always go for some more horror elements, but as a fun gameplay-focused game, I had a good time!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I wanted to make it more of a horror game but i didn't really have time. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

It was fun, Just like in real life my demons won.

This is a really great start, with nice pixel art and an attack mechanic that feels great. I'd recommend adding some more feedback for when the player gets hit, maybe a particle effect, and I'd definitely add in some sounds for the auditory feedback. Nice work and keep at it!

Thank you so much! Thanks for the constructive criticism!

Hey, not bad! I really liked the sprites, looks like you put a lot of work into them and they turned out great! Great animations and the controls were responsive and felt good to play.

Developer

Thank you! that means a lot!
