Looks great! Just FYI this name is already being used for another game: https://lastronautgame.com/

That was fun! The mechanics are competently implemented. The rover is interesting.

It took me a while to realize that I could refill the oxygen by going south to the ship. Before that, I assumed I just had to speedrun the game!

Great work!

thanks for the detailed feedback, I probably would make some of the objectives clearer if I did it again. I wanted the player to feel pressured to hurry but also provide a check point of sorts. Sometimes too much dialogue slows a game down but in retrospect I could have used a little more.

As far as the rover I really wanted to expand on that and plan to in a fuller version of this game. I was stoked with the different sprites I came up with but I really want to add more action to the movement.

As weird as it is Bayou Billy is always an inspiration for me when it comes to retro game dev. as a kid I loved how it had racing and beat ‘em up levels so I wanted to bring a little of that to this game.

Thanks again!

Really cool concept, but I gotta say that the movement is so sloooowwwwww. I know you are on the moon or something but that isn't an excuse for slow movement. And the Oxygen mechanic would be nice.... assuming you could even see your Oxygen.

(Dumb question but uhhh, how does the gameboy convert hexadecimal to decimal, because that is probably the only problem I can think of that made you not put in a Oxygen meter / number :/ )

Developer

You’re not the first one to mention the speed, I might have let that one get away from me a little.

There is an air gauge in the pause menu (press start) and if you click on the icon it will display how much remains.

Thanks for playing!!

really like the concept, but the movement is too slow, makes me anxious haha. good job anyway

Developer

I wanted the movement to feel heavy, so that anxiety wasn’t entirely unintended but believe me while I was playtesting I kept that variable at double speed. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback.

Neat game, Great concept for the theme. I didn't realize there was air so I got killed instantly as soon as I headed north in the vehicle.
it was nice to play an actual rom.

Congratulations for making a real .gb game! My oxygen ran out quickly after I headed south, I am not sure if there was a way to restore oxygen :(

Thanks!

One of the Characters is supposed to replenish your air supply and it sounds like you were almost there…

If you’re up for another play through try taking the most direct route and don’t double back unless you have to.

Thank you, I was really excited with some of the Sprites and Tile Sets I got done during the jam.
