The writing here is really effective - to the point that I'm afraid I ducked out after a couple of levels. Take that as a sign of a well-written story. One complaint is that, on my 4K monitor, the window is very small, and the fact that I couldn't resize it or go fullscreen meant I was squinting a bit.

In our last-minute scrambles to get the exports uploaded minutes before the deadline, we forgot to enable "resize" and stretch mode in the settings, but have since updated our repo. Appreciate the heads-up, and for giving our submission a look before the jam ends today!

This was great! There was obviously a lot of effort put into every aspect of this game, and it shows. I really like how collecting each music note added another instrument to the music, that's a really cool touch. Once I noticed that I went out my way to collect any that I saw.

Small bug I ran into: a few times when I died, I respawned outside of the playable area and would die whenever I tried to run back on land. Restarting the level fixed it. I wasn't able to figure out how to reproduce it consistently so I'm not sure what was causing it.

Thank you so much! The memories being checkpoints was one of the last things we added , and I think it comes from not triggering a memory before you fell off. I could be wrong, however. I really enjoyed your entry as well!

Amazing visuals and audio. I liked that there was a background voice that told a story as I went on my merry way. However, I couldn't focus too much at first if I wanted not to fall... 

The core mechanics were simple and well constructed, so it is immediately clear what you should do. Kudos for that.

Wow! I'll be frank: at first it seemed the usual 3D puzzle-platformer, but the more I played, the more I find myself enjoying this! 

The idea of manipulating objects to build a path might not be the newest concept, but that's not important. But then: you built the idea of memories on top of that, and each memory is discovered along the journey, and the memories serve as checkpoints, and the memories tell a story which makes me relate to the character, and then the character travels across this world while I get to know their story, and there's a beautiful music in background that embraces the voiced narrative, and the pieces of the paths slowly come together like the whole story does, and... It's a lot. 

In the end, I was amazed. It felt like it was perfectly balanced, with everything at its place and all the elements working together. In my opinion, balance is the strongest point of your game. Congrats :) 

The only constructive comments I can do is that controls were a bit odd sometimes: having an isometric movement is not easy, especially when you requires the player to move along narrow corridors suspended in air, because two buttons are required at the same time (from keyboards). I imagine it's implemented in 2D, so rotating the environment is not feasible. A possibility would be to made the controls more precise, maybe with a clearer character's shadow that gives to the player a better feeling of where they are (at the moment there's a large cloud at the character's feet).

Another thing is that collapsing platforms are not too different (in color) from the standard ones. They could be unnecessary difficult to distinguish, especially when the vignette effect is stronger. But besides these two comments, the gameplay (and the game overall) is really good.

Very good submission especially for the short timeframe.

Only major complaint would be the lack of challenge - the "ants" or what ever they are really felt more of a nuance when you forgot they were there and not challenging.

The story was was good and really made you feel like you were watching a man go through life doing what he thought he had to instead of what he wanted to - a lot of a us unfortunately - so sort of depressing - not a bad thing for the the game though. Thanks for submitting top in books that I have seen so far

Nice and deep story! I find the isometric graphic style very appealing although it was sometimes hard to navigate without falling. Checkpoints helped me a lot :)

Very nice stylistic choices in the art, storytelling and presentation departments!
The menu was a nice addition as well.

Very unique combination of architecture, the picking-up mechanic (very helpful prompts of "E") and the vases autoplacing themselves on the pressure plates.

Wow! Impressive for a Jam game. The game feels like it is one part puzzle game, and one part visual novel. Good balance overall, I like it.

The game has a nice atmosphere and overall good and interesting presentation. On the side of gameplay there are some issues, like the level not always resetting properly after falling off or losing otherwise.

On first run I ran off the edge at a start and respawned in some sort of a ruined version on the level, and after jumping off again, I respawned in an empty void. There was also one platform that after resetting, became an instant death drop, so I had to restart the game.

It was nice to hear voice acting and some deeper storytelling in a jam game!

I made it to the point where the line:
"Were stuck here forever" came.
There I was stuck at the end of a level, by a gate that wasn't active. Was that the end of the game or did something break? Maybe I just missed something?

Overall that was a nice time.

Thanks for the comments. Memories serve as checkpoints, so the issue is likely not having triggered the first one. That said, the gates only open when you collect all the music notes.
