really enjoyed turning constantly to build speed. had a good while with this game, steering is super fun

Fun! I like how you can build up momentum to go really fast because that's really fun lol. It's a little hard to see where you're going sometimes so maybe the camera could move infront of where the car is going? But overall really fun to barrel down the highway!

Hahah, thanks for the comment buddy. I was really upset how I tried crunching too many things and didn't ended up having enough time. Cool to know someone can still take something out of it! I'll come back to you once I try Ice Course of Course. Also I like the idea of uploading it in another project, I might follow.

(Played the Web version)

Nice job with the gear mechanic and sound. Took me about 6 minutes to beat first time.

I had the following issues:

  • The keys shown on screen do not correspond well to Q, E, A and D. I tried the arrow keys and WASD first instinctively. Then I found that spamming QEAD 4 times always works.
  • Doesn't feel very Foddian. I crashed many times, but never lost any considerable progress.
  • Screen aspect ratio not very good.

Thank you so much for the feedback friend!! I agree that it doesn't feel very foddian, my goal was to put some fuel stations, or otherwise you would need to go down the "hill" to fuel, then losing progress.
I tried QEAD on purpose to not make intuitive, because you can't break on this car. Only build up momentum, or force a bad gear (mechanic which I planned on punishing).
I like your Foddian Heights, I'll soon share my thoughts on it :)

cool idea and i like the manual concept , the screen is too thin i dont know where am going to when the street is going horizontaly
