honestly for a first game this was kinda fun ! when you start combining dash and jumps to avoid wall jumps, it's very satisfying good job :D i cant wait to see the full version with more finishing touch !!

Hey! Thank you so much! I'm very happy and very glad with this comment!

So sad, that there is no music. And yeh, tutorial would be nice.

Developer

I know I didn't have enough time, but do you like it?

Submitted

Ho no web or macOS export :/

Submitted

Interesting idea! The game lacks some polish (tutorial, UI, sound) but otherwise it's a nice first entry!

Developer

Thanks!!! I'm going to add all those things

I struggled a lot to get the first part but after reading the game page it was easier. maybe you could've have done a tutorial. cool game tho, nice spin on the theme (:

edit - I've seen the reply to comment saying you didn't have enough time for a tutorial, so mb fair enough. >..<

Developer

Thanks!

is it possible to get past the first part? is there a game mechanic im missing? whenever i use my third jmp, i cant jump again until i die. i think its a bug but still i cant even complete the first part

Developer

If you read the game page you'll notice! But I'll tell you, u can dash, so if you press w+ left shift or mouse wheel(dash) you will dash upwards! You can combine 2 directions like W and D

Really nice game! I feel like a tutorial was missing a little but eventually I went to the description of the itch page and got the details. I really liked the opening scene and the art of this game - really creative! Well done on this entry!

Developer

Thanks! I'll make I tutorial for the next time, I didn't have enough time!

Hey pretty good game! You did a good job with visuals, animations, and whole style is cool. And as all others already told you, sound effects will make this game much better!

Developer

Thanks!

This is pretty dang good for a first game. The gnome having to drag himself with his arms gives the sprite a lot of character and I like the idea of having limited moves. What it could really benefit from is a bit more polish. An indicator to show how many jumps and dashes you have left would be nice, making it so you can't spend a jump in the air and get no benefit (I think I did that once,) and some sounds. The intro comic was fun but it was a bit messy and the words didn't stay in the speech bubbles, level 2 seemed like it was easier than level 1 because you needed fewer moves and then level 3 was just a slight variation on level 2, and the credits screen was blank. These would be some things to make it better, but it's already pretty good.

Developer

Thanks! I agree with all!

Nice game and concept. It would be good if you also included the tutorial screen in the game. Some music and sound effects would have also been nice. But great job for a first game and game jam!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't have enough time!

A very interesting game concept, but there were some issues with the game itself. I think the game needed a counter to see, how many jumps you have left. An for some reason, Either I couldn't understand how it works, or it's a bug, but I couldn't finish the level because of that 3 jump limit. It would've been a nice game concept though!

Developer

hey, you can use the dash mechanic, check the game page

As a first game, this is really cool, was really missing some music or sfx, without them the game didn't really felt like a game, but the art was cool, and the use of theme was really good! Great work!

Developer

Thanks! I didn't have enough time to add music or SFX.

For a first game this ain't bad, I do wish you included a tutorial in game instead of me having to comb through the page to see I have limited jumps and dashes (Which could have easily been fixed with an in game counter) dashing in all directions did feel nice to do so I'll give you props for that and the three levels present were nice after getting used to the controls and limits. The gnome character looks decently well minus the legs he had in the intro taking a nose dive in quality, speaking of the intro scene... What happened with that? Why did everything in that intro besides the gnome's upper half look so bad in comparison to everything else in game? The lack of any sound definitely hurts the experience, and lastly while you did credit yourself on the game's page you forgot the put your name in the in game credits, this is more of a nitpick then anything but still should be said. I do potential in this if you ever work on this game some more and turn it into a full fledge game but it would take a lot of work

Thanks! I didn't have enough time to add a tutorial, Music or SFX. The drawings of the beginning were made the last day at 6:00 AM.

For your first game I’d say it’s really good! The game lacks music a bit and also has some mismatched tiles here and there and the only thing I would change is the font but all in all, Well Done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'll update it later and add music. I won't submit the update to the jam.

Great job for a first game! The art was charming and the only real problem I had was not having a tutorial. Fun game, I enjoyed it.

Developer

Thank you, I wanted to add a tutorial but I didn't have enough time.

Submitted

Yeah, somethings in the game would be nice like a tutorial, music/SFX, better game feel and more clear points telling you how many jumps you have left, but like the idea and the art isn't bad so besides for music, everything is just okay.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving me the feedback, I'll update it to my profile, I'll not submit it to the jam.

I made Everything, art, etc.
