That’s why I created a change mechanic, which would allow you to change between different numbers that you wanted to pick up. But in the end I also realised, that that mechanic was a bit finicky. Glad you enjoyed the levels tho!

Ok, I'll let you through into my though-process for the player:

The first that I wanted to do, id a robot. And I specifically wanted it to have a wheel which it would drive with. Then I needed to choose the color, and I decided of yellow. Since I didn't know how exactly I should've made the player feel alive, I just put a smile and some arms onto him. Then I was thinking on how the player should hold the numbers. Hands would be too difficult to make, so I came up with something. The player would have a little helipad like the ones spread across the different levels, that would activate when holding a number. And Ta-da! And now that you mentioned it, it really does look like a little pencil XD

I really much appreciate that you very much liked playing it and appreciate what I created. I am really honored to hear that :D

The first time I've ever seen a board-game being submitted, even though it's my first GameJam XD. Besides that I really appreciate that you had submitted a board game into this jam! Makes the use of different "Game engines" really stand out. I am giving the effort and creativity for this a 5 star! Sadly I wasn't able to play this game with anyone, but if I could, I woud really like to play this game with someone :D. Great work!

I’m definitely making a note of that! I needed to make the controls easy and understandable, but something was missing then. Either way I appreciate your feedback and that you liked the game :D

I agree with you on the 3. I wanted to add a special sauce to the game, by not only making the numbers with abilities, but actually trying to get them in the order of 3,2,1. So that should explain why it was that way. Good that your brain grew because of this :D

Oh man, I thought the extras were amazing… A little extra puzzle wouldn’t hurt anybody ;))))

I guess I hit the goal that I was striving to! I'm glad you enjoyed solving the puzzles!

Gonna note that! Thank you!

Thank you! I worked very hard to make the puzzles fun!

Thank you!

Thank you for your elabiration. I see your point! Thank you!

Ok, good to know. Could you maybe elaborate which part of the movement wasn't good? Because it would be good to know, which part of the player-controller I should put more effort into in future projects.

Besides that, I'm very glad you enjoyed the game!

Oh, that's sad to hear :((
Could you maybe elaborate what there was that you didn't like?

Whow, that is a lot of feedback! I very much appreciate that you wnet deep into analyzing the whole game. Thank you!

About the controls: Even when developing the game I sometimes encountered that the player would suddenly clip into the wall when phasing through platforms or when teleporting, but at the end I decided to not really look too much into it, since it would take a lot of time to get the controller and collision working flawlessly. Though I do think that I have messed up when programming the controller, so maybe that had something to do with it. And everything can't be perfect in a 3 day GameJam ;)

I very much agree with you on the art. Because I'm not great at drawing I resorted to what I was able to do, and that was the result. As I was putting in the drawings into the game, the varying sizes and outlines of the different drawings were also kind of weird.

Either way, I am very glad you enjoyed playing it and gave all of this feedback! Thanks to you and people like you I can apply those feedbacks in later projects/GameJams. Thank you very, VERY much!

Thank you so much!

A fellow developer named "Dimensional Space" is also on the marks of trying to play through and rate every single one of your games! So also give his game a try!

I can officially declare, that I have rated every single one of your games!

I had a lot of fun playing and reviewing every single game and had seen a lot of different genres, ideas and concepts!

But now, I am asking you guys to do a favor for me. If you are kind enough, I would very much love if you would rate my game that I created for this GameJam. Since this is my first game and GameJam of my LIFE, I would very much appreciate hearing some feedback of your playthroughs. And if you find any ways I could improve on things, remove bugs or different tips and tricks, I would be glad to hear them. Even if something you don't like about the mechanics or the game, I'm ready to hear them!

Here's my game: https://itch.io/jam/icojam-2023/rate/2197829

I wish all of you a great time during the voting of the created games for this GameJam and have fun creating more games in the future!

I wish all of you the best

A nice idea for the game! The movement felt quite nice!

The movement feels amazing, though there was little connection with the theme and almost no real gameplay. But I do love the concept. I would be glad seeing the first levels you would create with those mechanics!
