Great interpretation of the theme. I've seen a lot of people make a similar concept, but I like your take on how you're actually "guiding" the player down the right path (the user reviews really help sell it). I did find myself wishing there was a way to undo placing a prop instead of just restarting the whole level, but it wasn't a dealbreaker for me. Nice work!

fun game, the art is great, but I feel it is a bit too hard to get the "player" to go to the coins

Thanks for the feedback.

Great game! A good concept with some good puzzles. I do think the coin notice radius could be a bit larger though.

Nice idea. The art direction look’s realy nice!

Fun game, love the humour and the art style! Couple of notes:

  • It would be great if the coins stayed where they are after I fail a level, sometimes I only want to move one coin but I have to replace all of them!
  • The player moves a little slow for my taste!
  • It can be hard to tell what the radius is for the player to see the coins, I think a circular outline would be good to aid in placing

Other than that, really nice game!

Thanks for playing and the feedback.

Coin placement lingering was something we only considered after the deadline would have made a huge improvement to the game. How far the character can detect the coins was supposed to be communicated by the arrows when placing them, sadly this was not clear enough so failed to help.

Speed was too slow I think for most people esp. when you doing it over and over. A speed up button was suggested too.

Love the design anf sounds, very chill. Good idea, but to be honest the gameplay is a bit frustarting, Its not clear where exactly to put the coins so the player will identify them correctly. Might help if the coins stayed in place after losing a level

Developer

The idea that you could see where you placed them on the last go was something we though of but without enough time to do add it sadly.

Top notch idea and execution! It is a little hard to tell if the player will jump but that's part of the challenge I suppose.

My friends told me not to post this one here, but wow those spikes are bad design. I get killed by them like 10 times each time I come across them.

Very beautiful game!

I think this is great! It's a different take on the idea that I also worked with: you're the designer of a metroidvania. I really liked the idea of streamlining the interactions to guiding the player with item pickups, which is a very clean and clever idea. I did find it to be a bit finnicky, and I did eventually get softlocked, but I enjoyed the puzzles I saw and really loved the art and sound. Awesome work!

I love this idea! The player ratings when you lose was pretty funny
