Gameplay loop was fun, very satisfying to watch the solar flare get bigger and bigger. Great job :)

Hey, just wanted to give you some quick feedback on your gamejam submission! The storyline where the sun was all pissed off was hilarious and totally unique - loved it! The music was pretty groovy and didn't get annoying, which is always a plus. The pixel artwork was consistent and well-done, making the overall design of the game pretty sweet.

The menu and settings were nice, and it's clear you put in some extra effort there. At first, the game was a bit confusing, but I got the hang of it and enjoyed it once I played for a bit. The shooting bar was super fast, maybe even too fast, but it was more manageable once I was able to shoot out the larger flares. And oh my god, the largest flare was MASSIVE - I couldn't help but laugh!

It definitely put a big ol' smile on my face. Overall, good job on the game, keep up the good work!

I love the concept. Is it even possible to succeed early on without a bunch of upgrades? Finally getting there did feel pretty satisfying.

Love the art and the concept!

Great game and nice pixel art!

Very nice concept and game overall!
Especially the huge solar flare felt really powerful.
And props to you for also adding sprites  for mercury and venus, as it really adds to that feeling for the distance.

It is very fun, I love the humor touch of having the earth flat
Very good graphics and sound, it would be fun if you add a destroying animation to mercury and venus each time a big flare touches them :D

Well scoped and executed little jam game. Agree with others that hitting other planets would've made it a bit more fun, even if it only served to diminish your flare as it went along, making it slightly harder to aim your shots.

Also only giving me the option to go into the upgrade section every time, and not when I choose to.

Good job!☀️

at first i wanted to scorch other planets too and then i realized it might have quelled my anger and decided this was best :)

Pretty funny game! Love the idea of the sun getting angrier and angrier...those stupid humans! It's a bit slow paced, I agree with your assessment that maybe other things that can be hit/destroyed along the way would be neat (I got excited when I saw the other planets at first thinking they too would be destroyed) but I think all in all it's a really nice and polished game. Good job to everyone who worked on it! The art and music is great also :)

Definitely one of the most clean games of the jam that I've seen so far. Art and music we're really well done, and the game itself, although bit slow paced and limiting on decision making, still was fun and kept me going until I finally destroyed the lil planet! I will have to say though, after trying to hit the moon for like ten shots in a row, only to pass through it, left me feeling sad... AND MORE ANGRY !!! (get it, cause i'm an angry sun?)

Why's the earth flat?

Submitted(+2)

Because it's an accurate representation of the earth, duh

I love the graphics! maybe the gameplay was a little repetitive, but the idea is very creative.

Very cool idea, well made!

A very silly game, for sure, well made!
Though, i didn't find out you can change the size of the projectile until i got all maxed out, lool.

Really cool looking game with great polish! It also has nice gameplay, but sometimes you just have to repeat the same thing to get enough points for the upgrades. Other than that it is good!
