Awesome game! All the different mechanics that you added within 72 hours blew me away, great work keep it up!!

Game is beautiful. such a great look. The sound that is made when the character dies is priceless!!!

This is really polished! Great puzzles, nice platforming mechanics.

I loved this, such a clever yet simple idea, art and sound were fantastic, my only gripe is the characters are quite slidey which made the last couple of levels pretty hard, but the game was so good I didnt really mind. It would be nice to have something that says what each character does, I could remember most of the time but an extra reminder wouldnt hurt. The achievements were a nice touch too :)

Absolutely amazing! There is honestly nothing to complain about the art is gorgeous, the idea and use of limitation is so well done and the game is really morbidly fin to play! Well done!!

Beautiful art, great gameplay, nice music. This game was a pleasure to play, other than some frustration with the movement controller. More snappy movement would have been good.

I also would have appreciated some more obvious indication of what the different pilgrims do when they die. Especially in the first few levels, I'd have to just go for it and see what happens. Though respawing is quick, so maybe it's not actually an issue. I did note the colours seemed to correspond to what they could do, but the platform guy always tripped me up.

Anyway, not a lot to say. This was great.

Developer

Good point! Platform pilgrim isn't colour consistent with his ability. We'll look into it, as well as the controls. We noticed platformer controls are really tricky on smaller tiles.

Thank you for playing and for the feedback.

So much content yet so little time to do it, really nice game !

Really fun puzzle game, but the difficulty ramps up really fast, possible due to the control being a little too slippery. I got stuck at a certain level with 3 units.

I’m in awe that your team managed to make this in 72 hours including level design and art. Such a good idea, so well-executed, so fun. controls and animations are smooth. Only suggestion I’d make is a way to quickly restart a level without having to kill off your folks one-by-one.

I’d happily pay money for a game like this with 100 or so levels.

My favourite game of the jam! Nothing I can criticise about it, except for is there a restart key? Something small but could help the game out a bit.

Developer

You could always murder the whole gang to restart the level :P But we have nothing for going back to the title. Thank you for playing!

Really nice concept, nice evolution of the feature. It looks really beautiful. I find the controls a bit clunky (swift as a soap, lack of air control) but maybe I'm just too bad at it ^^ I also wish there was a bigger emphasis on the sound but eh that's a jam after all. Nice job

Developer(+1)

Yeah wish we had a catchy tune line you game! :D Thank you for the feedback, platformer controls are tricky buggers for sure.

Developer(+1)

Nah you're not bad, it is also something I noticed (the soappy effect) and in a new version (to be submitted after the results) we corrected that. Sound is to be improved 100%.

really really cool :)

I absolutelly love this, great concept, ideas and artstylle. The ghost animation got a bit annoying, becouse i was dying so much. But one of the best games i have played from all the Jams

Developer (2 edits)

Thanks, glad you played. Yeah the ghost can be a bit too much after a while. We'll fix this post Jam! Thank you for the feedback.

graphics  and the character control is beautiful. do  you use transform to move the character or rigidbody? is is a blend tree  for animation. great work.

Developer(+1)

Cheers for playing! I believe we use physics to move the character. Only the character has more complexity in it's animations so we went for a blend tree there yes.

Developer(+1)

To add details to what my dear friend said, we use rigidbody and mess up with the velocity (in the very big broad picture, I let the coders of the group answer in more details).
Designers had access to several variables to tweak everything, as example for the normal jump: we controlled the height of the jump the length when going up, the length when going down (the jump is not just a simple arc, it is the mix of 2), the velocity to go up and the max fallspeed when going down  (we can make the character go high super fast and then "float" until reaching ground). Finally we could tweak how much air control you have.
All of this is roughly duplicated so we set a "small" jump and a "high" jump, then based on your input you lerp in between :)

Glad you liked it !!
