Whew, I'm getting a little sweaty from this game.

This is a great idea. However, I was too nervous when I could already see which face I needed to put the dice on, but even a short press on the directional button would turn the dice away too much. Maybe some kind of slow mode could have been added with holding the ctrl button. The game is similar to golf, so it might lack its putter.

Also, I later found out that the game waits until the cube remains at a 0 angle to the floor. My current angle is wrong, but the face of the dice is the right one. Usually developers wait until the dice stops and then look to see which face is closest to the top. Although you could have avoided this if the answer box was a simple outline rather than a square pressed into the ground.

However, I would love to play a reworked version of this game.

Nice concept and clever pun in the title! But nothing seems to happen when I put 5 into 9 + ... = 14

Needs a bit more polish on the controls and UI to make it a bit more enjoyable. The physics aspect gets a bit tedious and wonky, especially with levels like the one with a thin stripe. I... stopped playing there.

Really nice game by the end I was looking for more levels, nice concept the controls are finicky but it fits the intention, a bit of music would go a long way.

I really like the different maps you have, also I loved the way the dice moved! I think the winning sound effect fits this game perfectly. Maybe next time add some music?

"Dice versa"... I see what you did there. lol

I did not anticipate this game to be so addicting and level 4(the one you have to go on the tilted thin bridge) was such an evil thing to do. Overall, I think this is a cool game!

I had a bit tough time figuring out how to do stuff (I was clicking the die so many times) so having some instruction might be not a bad idea.

Thank you so much for playing and for this thoughtful feedback! (It will help make sure that my ego doesn't burst out of my body)

I have gotten this same critique in a previous comment and it does seem to be an issue plaguing most players.

Overall, my goal for Game Jams is always to learn and grow as a new game dev, so not making assumptions about what the player will and won't instinctively know is a lesson that future me will hopefully take to heart.

Here's my feedback for the game:

  • Controls are actually fun, although a bit floaty.
  • Maybe add the control scheme to the actual page, I instinctively tried to play with my mouse and I needed a bit of time to figure out that I'm supposed to use WASD keys.
  • I like that game timer is represented with dice.

Thank you for playing my game and for the constructive criticism.

I have added the control scheme to my page as you suggested and in the interest of improving my skills, I am wondering what you mean by floaty and what I could do to reduce this in the future.

The movement was surprisingly satisfying to get down, love the name too :p

have to center the dice a bit more then what the space shows, also cool name!
