Nice puzzle game. The visuals are very nice. I found it pretty hard to keep track of where which side of the dice is.

Developer

Thanks and fair enough. I agree that 3D graphics would make it easier to keep track of - I tried to substitute this with the grey dot indicators but maybe they're not as clear as they should be.

Great game! it looks polished, easy to learn, and fun to play, congrats!

Developer

Thank you :)

As other comments have said I've tried out a few games like this, but this has been my favorite one so far. It's so clear and easy to understand how to use the mechanic. Good job! -Kaylee

I'm glad you thought it was clear, visuals and UX were probably my main focus.

I have played a few of submissions with a similar concept. I enjoyed the visual of this one the most so far. Really clean and functional pixelart. When the game got to the two dice scenario my brain didn't get through ´:D

Developer

Thank you :) I liked your game very much.

Really nice presentation! I think this dice-rolling puzzle idea its one of the most used, but this game does a great work with it and presents it very nice!

Speacially with the multiple dice... where I stopped playing because it was too much for me, but it was original!

Developer

Thank you :)

Great visual  and sound design. The indicators for adjacent tiles definitely helps the UX a lot. On the levels with two dice, you can move one while the other is stuck in an animation, which is probably unintended. Nice job!

Developer

You guessed right, it wasn't intended, but I'm gonna say it's an accidental feature rather than a bug. Thanks :)

I like the concept. But controlling and calculating one die were enough. When the other die appeared I gave up.  Too much brains needed for me :).

The first levels I mostly completed by looking for where there were room to cause different results, rather than calculating the results as such. Sounds and presentation is nice but I guess the type of challenge didn't suit me.

Same haha
Suddenly I had two dice and I was like "this is too much for my brain".

I like challenges, but it was a little to much for me.
I'd probably would be less overwhelmed if the multiple dice mechanic was introduced more smoothly and gently.

Developer(+1)

Absolutely, it could have done with more levels. Both of the last two are big difficulty spikes. The second die was just a way to vary the gameplay without having to make more assets.

Submitted(+1)

Well, it certainly was an effective way to say "Hey, this feature exists and this stuff is possible". Congrats again for your game!

Developer

I think it's a good thing that you solved the first levels that way: the main point of them is to introduce you to how the game works rather than being challenging puzzles in their own right. Glad you enjoyed the concept.

Good game and presentation. I definitely just tried random things for the last puzzle.

Developer

Thanks :) Every time I tested it I also had to just try random things for the last one ngl. I could never remember the solution.

I dont wanna say that you copied, but you know that someone else had the same idea, also its a cool game

Developer

Oh really? That's cool, I had no idea. I'd be interested to see what they did with the concept. Glad you liked it, I also enjoyed your game.

They can't copy lol.  It's literally 48 hours bro.  Of course there are gonna be some repeats here and there XD

i literary said, I dont wanna say that you copied

I mean sure I guess, but by saying  "you know someone else made this game" instead of "Did you know someone else made a game similar to this?" It comes off as definitely sounding like you thought they copied.

Submitted

oh sorry, didnt mean it, to sound like that

This game is so cool! I really love it! I love the sound and art design! And the puzzles are really interesting too, though I got stumped earlier than I wanted XD
It took me a while at first, to realize that the gray faces on the ground next to the dice are the projection of the dice, not the requirement to roll onto the spot XD but that is definitely a user error and not a fault of the game!
All in all a very fun game and cool concept!

Developer

Thank you so much :) I agree, I've seen a lot of people get confused about the grey flashing dots. I should probably have explained them in the text. Your game is fantastic.

Wow, I really appreciate the in-depth feedback. It was reassuring to see you quickly work out what was going on in level 2 - that means my text prompts worked. I agree that the indicator should be clearer when you've got it right and you can move onto the winning space.

I can't blame you for getting stuck on level 4: one of the flaws of the concept is that it's hard to guide the player to the solution without showing it to them (like you said about the preceding levels). You either stumble into the right answer or you don't.

Anyway thanks for playing :)

The concept might just be a little too puzzling. Other than that, I loved the audio, the visuals, the implementation in general. Great job!

Developer

That's a fair assessment. Thank you for your kind words :)
