Amazing writing. The game wasn't as literally on theme as some of the others, but thematically it definitely was. I did not expect to see a game like this! Great work :D

A great game, with a simple premise and polished visuals and audio. In future, I'd love to see some progression or more difficult stuff (though I don't know what, I don't really know about D&D). Would roll everyone's dice to chill tunes again!

Awesome game! I liked that your die wasn't quite a die lol. I liked the core idea, but it was a little frustrating to jump off the screen to the left all the time - maybe you could've made the view focus on the player but had a wall of something moving across at a set speed to indicate where they die if they don't move in time. Great work for a game jam game!

Fun game! Once I maxed out my stats, I didn't know where the game was going - hopefully you can add continuation and let the player make themselves even more OP after the Jam. Overall though, great job!

Nicely polished game! I didn't bother trying to solve the puzzle and just went around at random till I got past the level haha. A surprisingly refreshing take on this style of game!

Great soundtrack and visuals! I didn't realise the significance of the dice roll mechanic while playing, though - I never noticed that different styles had different stats.

Thanks for the feedback! The rolling of the die did become secondary in the final product, though it was supposed to be the main mechanic for combat. Ah well, I know for next time to prioritise the theme more.

Maybe I need to make a game just about playing music for plants without trying to shoehorn it in around another theme haha

Awesome game! I enjoyed breaking the dice into smaller dice, it was quite satisfying to watch. However, it was hard to tell when exactly the dice were damaging you - maybe a damage noise or animation would've been cool. It also seemed like an endless game - you stay alive as long as you can for the sake of a higher score - and I'd have preferred if there was an endpoint (although that's just personal preference). Great job making this in two days!

I loved the visuals and the audio. This game had so much polish! I'm not very good at cooking games, and couldn't quite figure this one out at the start. Even after I had, I kept losing my dice in the sea. Overall, a great game - just not one for me.

I enjoyed this game on the whole! I don't have any specific feedback. More complex puzzles later on would've been nice, but hey, it was a game jam. Great job!

Nice game idea! The gun jamming was an interesting side mechanic I hadn't anticipated. While the art was quite good, the UI at the bottom could have done with some polish. Great game jam game though!

Great work! It was an interesting take on the theme, but nicely done. The countdown wasn't the most clear - it could've used a graphic indicating time running out. The only major addition I would've liked to see is sound effects. Awesome that you managed to make this much in under a day!

Great visuals! The music was cool, and do were the sound effects (though a couple were a bit too loud). I'm not very good at platformers so didn't get very far, but I liked the board game style take, though it took me a while to understand it. The player movement might have been a little too fast though, it was hard to precisely avoid the obstacles.

I liked the concept! It was hard to tell when exactly I was dealing damage to enemies though - enemy health bars would've been nice. Additionally, my dice would sometimes push the enemy seemingly out of the damage area. Great job overall!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind for next time - several people have said the instructions were unclear.

I loved the concept for this game! It's a shame that you didn't have enough time to finish it. AdmiralSlowpoke, you actually inspired me to paticipate in this game jam.

Great concept with a good amount of polish. I especially liked the little dialogue lines by the shopkeeper(?). It was slightly hard to see the dice mechanic at work though, even though I knew it was happening. Great work!

Something tells me it didn't work well on Chromium browsers :(
Thanks for your kind feedback!

That was the idea I had! I'm glad it came through at least a little. Next time, I'll scope the UI smaller and cleaner ;)

Thanks for the feedback! Which number you rolled on the die did determine your attack/defense multiplier, but this was kind of secondary to the game so I get why you say it was off theme haha.

Although there didn't seem to really be an end goal, great game overall!

This is quite a fun game even though I feel like I'm not doing much. Though, as mentioned by someone else, if the fights could be sped up even with a speed toggle, it would be great. Or if there was a little more interactivity in the fights (but that goes against the concept of the game).

Your game has an intriguing concept. However, I didn't really understand how to damage enemies throughout. Great work though - the dice-rolling ability system was great and the enemies looked cool too.

The "microtransactions" are part of the humour of the game I think ;)

The concept might just be a little too puzzling. Other than that, I loved the audio, the visuals, the implementation in general. Great job!

I loved your concept but it took me a little time to understand how to play. What would have been cool is if when you went over the score you lost, so you had to try and hit that exact number. Great work! It's my first game jam too.

Awesome concept! One wrong move and bam, you're dead. I was never completely sure what I was doing, but that's more on me than on your game. Great job for a game jam game!

I loved the concept! It could have used more polish (scoreboard moving vertically with player, no play again button when you die, your blocks being essentially infinite cause you could just reroll) but hey, it was a game jam game. I didn't get time to put polish on mine myself. Great work!

I liked the music and the general feel of the game, I was just confused about the controls initially. Also, there's not really an objective - it was fun to play but I was playing just for the sake of increasing my high score, it seemed. Great for a game jam game though!

I quite enjoyed your game, but it took me a while to understand how the mechanic worked. Other than that, great visual presentation!

Thanks for the feedback!
I'll get an actual artist to do all the art next time haha. And now I do see that the entire thing was a bit too complex/confused.

EDIT: if you meant that playing music on the beat of the background track didn't always give you points, that would be correct. I coded it quite quickly and it was far from perfect.
