Great game! The idea of having a flip side to the level is very cool, and I love how the two sides feel connected with the moving blocks! The level doesn't overstay it's welcome, and you fully utilize the moving platforms and lasers! Also, I love that you have a bloom setting! Great job!

Thank you!

It was short but very enjoyable! But when I play on the black side then it's kinda buggy and I couldn't move at all. Overall well done!

Developer

Huh, I didn't know that bug existed... I'll look into it.  Glad you still enjoyed the one side!

Really nice fun short game! You did a really good job on the music and the visuals. Its definitely short but that's okay for a game jam! The only minor thing is that the character might be a little to fast but that's not a big problem. Nice take on the theme! You did a really good job on this!

Thanks!

Such a nice platformer game!

First of all, I want to say that considering the game jam restrictions, the game was pretty geometric, and I liked that you have enhanced the looks of your game with post-processing. Overall, the game was pretty polished looks-wise!

The only problem I had with the game was character controls. Although creating a platformer looks easy, it requires a lot of polishing work concerning the character movement. I suggest you look for the terms "coyote time" and "jump buffering" on the internet so you can enhance the character controller of this or your future games of yours!

Apart from those, I should say that the music is pretty great and I enjoyed it. I'm glad that you have not skipped the audio part of the game!

Good entry!

Thanks!  Yeah, I'll definitely do some more research on polishing the character controls.  Appreciate the feedback!

This game adapts very well to Jam's theme. I love the animations and the level design.

The game is really polished and the music is great! I have exploited the checkpoint system on accident multiple times so maybe look into that. I would have liked a randomly generated mode so you it would be endless. Since I really like the feel in the game.

Developer

Thanks!  Yeah the checkpoints gave me some trouble, I'll look into it if I keep working on it.  An endless mode is a cool idea!

I'm glad there were checkpoints! I like the overall feel of the game! You could give the circle a story! The animations on it are awesome

Developer(+1)

Oh a story is a cool idea, I'll think about it.  Thanks!!

What a great game! The length is more than made up for by so many amazing fine details! I can't stop playing around with the character controller. Even the subtle things like squash and stretch make the player feel so much more alive.

The options menu is a nice touch and, while the game forgoes including more features, seeing how both sides play into each other during gameplay is just as much of a thrill as a more expanded feature set would create.

The sound design is also gorgeous. It plays well into the aesthetic of the game and really feels at home!

I would love to see this turned into a full release with more strategy elements as to which side to pick e.g. what the players current skillset looks like and what might be easier to handle.

Developer(+1)

Thanks!!  That's a good idea, to make each side have different abilities and such.  Glad you enjoyed playing!

Neat game. The idea is interesting, & the game fits the geometric limit well. However, the post-processing is definitely excessive, & the platforming feels a little too slippery to control. Good job.

Thanks for playing!  I'll keep your feedback in mind if I keep working on it.
