ok so here it is.... you nailed a game jam without sound! sit with it, soak it in and then run amok :D

The game looks nice. I like your 2D animations. I also like the mechanics and puzzles, they are indeed interesting and quite clever. I just think you shouldn't have written that in the game description, don't get me wrong, but self-praise is not cool, let others decide whether your mechanics are interesting and puzzles are clever :)

Some sounds would be nice, but there were just 10 days to make a game, and making sounds, or even searching for fitting ones is a time-demanding process and you obviously spent that time on the different parts of the game, which I think paid off.

Overall, very good game, well polished too, for a jam game. Great job!

Actually I don't think my mechanics are that good and i genuinely think my puzzles are horrible, but you know marketing is important (even if it has some things that are subjective ('o_o), i see steam games do thay so i thought i could give it a try)

Oh yeah also thanks for playing :D

Steam games need to sell, so people like me can get their paychecks. So yes, I strongly agree, marketing is important :))

I love the visuals and the particles. The puzzles are also well done, you can really feel the progression and the difficulty rising in a way that is not overwhelming. Well done!

Really nice puzzle game, managed to complete all the levels although the shot in the upper left section of the last level took us a million tries and it felt very tedious rather than fun. It would also be nice if the explosion effect of the ball wasn't as massive because it makes it harder to see things when it happens and it feels a little excessive. Maybe a simpler but still shiny smaller particles effect would be nice?
All in all everything else worked perfectly fine, the different mechanics were engaging and you introduced them very well. Good job! o/

Developer

the top left part in the last level is indeed way too hard, i really need to change that ('o_o)

The explosion effect can the place crowed so i will have to tweak it more as you said.

Thanky for playing and for the feedback!

Really really really interesting mechanics. more a puzzle than a platformer, which I prefer.
I'm so frustrated there is no sound and music though, a game this good needs them.

Also one other thing, I don't think you can fire the ball while the jump animation is in progress, I think you need to go into the animation controller and change the setting so you can fire while you are still jumping. (Something to do with end state that you toggle).

Please keep working on this I'll follow you to check for upgrades.

Thanks for playing!

I don't really understand what you mean about the jumping animation, because there isn't one ('o_o) [all the animation in the game are handled through physics and scripts, other than looping the sprites] I'm not sure where this problem you are talking about is, can you specify more?

Hmm interesting, I tried jumping and firing straight after, it didn't seem to fire until the jump had landed, I assumed that was because of the jump animation, but I guess not. Just try jumping and then fire while in mid-air mate, does it fire straight away?

Developer

Weird, seems to be working just fine for me

Maybe the ball didn't get retrieved in time for you? I can't seem to figure out the problem :(

You seem to be firing and jumping at the same time, try jumping then in mid-air try to fire.
But then again, maybe I'm just going crazy lol.

I'll play again.

Ok I made you a youtube showing:
1. jump and fire at the same time - ok - at 10 second mark
2. jump then fire in mid-air (what I was trying to do) - no good - at 18 second mark

https://youtu.be/rrbD43CTRVk

But that's cool, as long as people do 1. it works.

Developer(+1)

That's so weird, I tried replicating it again and again, but it never seems to happen (what the hell is this bug ahhhhhhhhhh)

Maybe its latency related *shrugs*

It's a shame there are no sounds or music because everything else in this game is just so excellent. The game does a perfect job of teaching you how to play without saying anything, and it's fun and responsive and nice to look at. I beat all 13 levels and I almost never stick it out like that in these kind of jam games with puzzles. But this one, I would have continued playing if there were even more levels. Really fun and excellent work.

Developer

Thank you for your kind words :D
