Not bad, however there are a couple bugs such as being unable to jump after touching a platform which makes it hard or even impossible to beat the level and the back arrow doesn't work in some of the levels.

This game was very enjoyable! It is missing a reset button! (is extreemly needed!) The music is very well made! I don't really see the theme being applied... Some surfaces made me not able to jump after landing on them...
This is a very nice concept which combines puzzle-solving skills with dexterity. I concur with the other comments that a reset button is needed and that I had no idea how to get past level 2.
Also I wasn't sure how many jumps I had. Maybe a graphic indicating that would be helpful.
Super cute game! Love the music, had trouble getting past level two though. A mechanic I think would be really game changing would be boxes staying in the level for each loop, so if you have levels where players are just like "I am not skilled enough to beat this" they can still progress (eventually) while practicing. Also like said before, a quick reset button would be a good thing too. Really love it though and can't wait to see what else you do!
I love the music and can't recall the last time I played a game like this! Some issues: I wasn't able to continue past the second level - it seemed like you could only get out of the pit if you double-jumped immediately out of spawning in the air (which felt like I wasn't doing what I was supposed to do), and at the same time you had to freeze the box on the left side of the room. For a second level, this type of challenge seems pretty steep. The SFX were pretty loud and the high frequencies of some sounds really hurt my ears, even at low volumes. Good job completing your first game!! You should be proud.
Fun little game that adds a quick-reflex element to the puzzle platform. Definitely a concept that has potential. I would recommend adding a quick-reset button. Having to wait for the counter to reset every time you miss clicking the box takes away some of the game's momentum
Quite a small game and from last we talked, you mentioned this was your first game jam? Very well done as the first game jam! There are some good things and other things to improve on here:
1) Controls are generally pretty good and feel good to play. Easy to move character around and jumping feels just right with the double jumping feeling a good snug fit with the great particle effects there.
2) Simple time stop mechanic that creates a bit of puzzle-platforming element to it. The elegance comes from the extremely well-done implementation of it, it's easy to use and understand (although at one point, I thought I had to hold my mouse for it).
To improve:
1) It seems like level 3 is impossible to beat? There's a bug where I can't jump on some parts of the ground making it impossible to beat.
2) I think the loop theme is only very loosely connected here in a weak way. The looping auto-reset feature is basically a delayed restart level which does not add to the game in any meaningful way. Would have loved this to be explored a little more, for example, maybe some boxes retain their positions even across 'loops'? That's a possibility.
Or maybe some switches can be switch on/off and their effects persists across the 'loops'. All in all, it should have been explored better.
For the first game jam, it's quite polished if you ask me. Fully featured with options, minimalistic but functional ui. It's pretty good you know! It's missing a lot in many aspects but you've got a good start!
Happy that you liked the game! And really thanks for such valuable suggestions and yeah its my first game jam,btw i was the Mostly UI guy and my other partner was concerned with the level parts(he really did an awesome job making it).Of course i know its "kinda" not connected to the loop but it IS connected in some way😅,i'll definitely remember these suggestions, thanks again.
Happy Game Jam!
what a great idea of a game. I really liked the freezing mechanic
Game seems to break at the second act. That or I didn't understand it. Also the back arrow doesn't work in the level that broke.
Cute characters & interesting mechanics!
The tutorial could've made things a bit more clear (and failing a level then having to wait for it to reset got a bit frustrating, as was not being able to jump while standing in some areas), but I like what you've set out to do and the 'freezing blocks in mid-air to use them as platforms' concept is very cool.
Took a bit to get it because of my very simple brain, but it's fun!
