The orc side of the story was super charming. Thank you for writing this!

The orc story was more entertaining for me; I found it more interesting than the machine cult. I enjoyed seeing both forces varied thoughts and approaches to machines. It was a fun contrast.

That was pretty great. I loved the Orc logic.

One of the things I love about games that have such a wide range of races (especially when they can be made so uniquely individual), is how interesting it is to see their different mentalities play off from each other. This is something that you have really managed to pull of here. The use of lots of different, small things to show the contrast between the factions (from complex vs simple names to eloquent language vs guttural grunts) really helped to show the difference and support their opposite views on the use of weapons.
Very well done!

I like the story overall, but I don't know if actually spelling out all of the mech folks names was worth it. It kinda distracted me from the rest of the story and was a little hard to read quickly. I like the idea of those being their actual names, and I can tell it took some work, but it didn't work for me.

Thanks for the feedback! That's fair. I was torn; I felt like "A3" made them seem Star-Wars-Robot, but I do get your point. Thanks again!

I LOVED this story, the Machine cults worshipping the mech-god and hating the 'abuse' the orcs are showing to there weapons...

The orcs appalled by how the umies' are making there machines identical to each other and not showing them the respect they deserve...

amazing story

I love the snippets of orcish culture-building that you've introduced in a few small paragraphs. Well done!

This was a great use of the theme to explore the idea of opposed viewpoints.

The way you portrayed Machine Cults with their unique naming conventions made them incredibly distinct from say a regular human. Additionally, it was really nice these characters felt respectable considering that they are from two factions that can very easily lean into camp.

It was a nice execution of the theme as well, showing both factions utterly confused, maybe even appalled by what the other does when it came to machines. It was a nice reflection of how both values machines in different ways.

Overall, a nice story with decent pacing and an interesting take on the theme.

Thank you so much for reading, and for commenting! Pacing is always a challenge for me; I'm glad I didn't fall too far from the mark there :)
