I like the chaotic spin on an old classic, but I wish that it came with a manual! You don't need to add a full tutorial, but knowing what the different colored balls do might be nice. At one point, I had six paddles, two of them were skinny. Then it became a giant paddle across the entire screen, then it disappeared, and I watched my ball slowly fall off the bottom of the scree. It was a cool and chaotic moment, but it felt a bit undeserved, it was happening to me, but I wasn't actively participating in the chaos.

Only other critique: the paddle is a little slow. I lost the ball a few times because I simply couldn't move to the other side of the screen as fast as the ball was moving.

Yeah, so I watched this Game Jam Tips video before I started and it said "make sure you use playtesters because you'll be playing your game so much you won't notice you're getting good at it" and I said "pfft, surely not." Now I have learned this is a good tip because almost everyone is mentioning the ball/paddle speed and I will listen next time!

There really isn't anything to know to play better though, the powerups are the color of the brick they came out of, nothing more to it than that.

Hahaha. I like this game's sense of humor. I knew it would be something special as soon as I heard that opening music. The theme is super short and begins to grate after a few minutes, but  as an 8-second song, it's golden. I especially enjoyed the quack sound that plays on each beat. As for the game itself...what a trip. I spent most of my time playing with my eyebrows  in a confused furrow. Paddles changing sizes, multiple paddles, bricks getting munchy, title letters falling like leaves, a shuriken chopping up my ball, .. I'm not even sure if I saw all the gimmicks, but it was super strange and I thank you for that. Sometimes my ball would get "stuck" for a while, like floating slowly in space at the side of the screen for ~10 seconds, or bounce horizontally (straight from left to right) , where  I wished that I could kick it back into play. But it would eventually  get struck by something, and I was back in action. It's good stuff. Thanks for the trip.

There is a reason that music volume slider was on my "must-do" list. :) Sadly the side-flippers didn't make it in, they were supposed to pop out when that side-to-side thing happened but I ran out of time. Seems like you got the, uh, artistic vision though and I appreciate it!

Really fun!
The chaotic spin on the original was a good idea.
I also like how you can destroy the logo(:
I also did a spin on an existing game.

Heya ~

I thought that all the mechanics you implemented were super solid and I had a lot of fun playing!

My biggest critique is that there was a lot going on and I didn't understand really any of it. I thought that this really added to the chaos theme but really detracted from the player experience. I think that some sort of tutorial or explanation would have gone a long way there.

That said, when it did go into full chaos it was a blast to watch and seeing the level get absolutely destroyed was awesome. I really liked how you incorporated the letters of the game into the game.

Holy ****, what happened?! :D I lost all my balls and my platform shrinked :P But I got a Highscore after every brick exploded! :)

Nice Touch that your UI is destructible!

What is the point of the munching crocodile bricks? :P

Nice breakout remake. I like the various random stuff that will come out.

Quite difficult to distinguish the powerups and the deadly bullets if you do not see colors.

The secret is you can't tell the difference even if you can see the colors, they're only colored by the brick they popped out of. :)

Great game! Very chaotic lol. I like how you could even break the title and they affect the trajectory of the ball in weird ways.

Nice one!

Honestly.... so entertained by this. Absolutely loved watching the letters get bent out of shape and then start flying around, at one point it looked like one of the pink bars I had hit had grown a mouth and started crawling up the screen, chomping away. Loved the effects, fireworks explosions, I think "unplanned interaction between systems leads to chaos" is probably the best description for this game. Works very nicely in this classic breaking game structure.

I did feel like the ball moved a little too quickly for me to properly catch, and would oftentimes end up losing it off the screen before I could get to it. But also maybe I just need to get good.

Also the music is so good, solid job overall!

So good! I love it  :) Love that you can knock around the "CHAOS BREAK" letters too ;p nice touch. Love the sounds and the art (nice colors!) I just got confused sometimes when the yellow block would break because they looked like my ball... but I guess that added to the chaos. Loved all the explosions and spinning and everything was just really great. Good job!

It definitely fits the theme.

Good chaotic shot game. One doesn't know, what happens next. You got topic well.

Whilst the concept is a little derivative, the art style makes if feel different. Good game, would have liked a few unique mechanics.
