Did you work in a team?
Solo project, I had a great time

Was the resolution a challenge?
The big issue was clarity, but the problems I had with it I was often able to repurpose into style/atmosphere.

What did you learn?
I learnt a lot about inventory management and text/dialogue systems. The 64x64 restriction helped me to learn things starting from a small scope

I wanted to play but didn't want to download a rar extraction tool for Windows 10. If you could make this available for web or bundle it as a zip file, it would be easier for more people to play.

I hadn't thought about that, thanks for the advice. I've uploaded an alternate .zip file now. :)

The atmosphere and storytelling are on point with the game theme, very impressive. The restrictive resolution added to the feeling of being trapped and to all the darkness of the story. I hope you keep working on this, well done!

Very kind comments, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it

Ok, I played the fixed build!  I really like the atmosphere, the graphics and audio absolutely do their jobs here.  It's unsettling and damp and grim, you can practically *smell* it.  I did have difficulty, not going to lie, at this resolution it is literally a pixel hunt-- I couldn't figure out what to do with the rock on day 2 (11?) lol.  I'm curious if there was anything in particular that inspired it?  I really like the concept of a game set in a prison cell.

Thanks for the feedback, clarity is something I will be aiming to improve on. One thing will be, as another player suggested, a crouch button that will help with finding the smaller, low-down objects, like the rat you need to use the rock on. The gameplay was inspired by old school escape room games and the narrative/aesthic was inspired by a mix of things, like Return of the Obra Dinn and Thief.

Glad you liked the concept and thanks again for the feedback! :)

Sweet!! I think in concept alone this game is great, and scratches an itch I didn't know I had. It reminds me of those classic point and click escape rooms I loved as a child, but combined with the added 3D ability to climb onto the bed and look around made it feel more engaging.

I think it'd also be really fun if you could crouch to look under things! (Such a simple small suggestion I know but I really want to do it for some reason...)

The fingernail bit made me grimace, I'm excited to see the finished project!

Developer(+3)

Grimace is a reaction I'm happy with! Thanks for the feedback, I certainly want to add more ways to feel the space of the room too. Old school point and click escape rooms were the big inspiration, a genre I miss!

Can confirm. Also grimaced at the fingernail! Nice ambience on this one! Not only is it 64 x 64 pixels...it's inside a 6x6 cell as well. Meta-Tiny O.O

Worth noting, I didn't finish the game in time! The narrative cuts short and there will be more interactive elements in the finished product. :)

Hi!  Your game looks cool but when I try to run it I get this error "Plugin 'PaperFlipbookWidget' failed to load because module 'PaperFlipbookWidget' could not be found. Please ensure the plugin is properly installed, otherwise consider disabling the plugin for this project."

Let me know if you get it fixed, I'd love to try!!

Same thing here

Hi! I'm really sorry about that. I had some trouble building with a certain plugin, but I've uploaded a new .rar that should work now. I hope you enjoy the game!
