How did you/your team interpret the theme?
Instead of a hero you're playing as a dream eating monster, that wake other people up by eating their dream

How was your/your team's experience in this jam?
Exhausted, as usual in any jam i join. i always somehow overscope the project and putting too much work on myself.
but the end result this time is quite decent that i don't regret doing it that much

I loved the menu and the transitions between the scenes.. very well done!

The first level might be a little tricky but it was really nice!

Absolutely outstanding art. I love the extremely restricted palette. Concept and mechanics are also amazing - I mean seriously, making a Kirby bullet-hell is incredibly clever!

I do have two fairly large issues though. For starters, the player's hitbox is too large. Other bullet-hell games have tiny hitboxes to make it easier to dodge - Undertale's heart is tiny compared to the battle scene and most attacks, for instance. Some bullet-hells have hitboxes that are only the very center of a character, to get both a detailed character and easier dodging.

Related to this is that the movement speed after inhaling a bullet is too slow as well. This is fine, but combined with a large hitbox size (which I think get larger after inhaling?) makes some attacks near-impossible to dodge. Moving while having a bullet ready should be a risk, but it's too much of a risk right now.

Overall, I still think the game's fantastic, and absolutely deserves to be expanded on. It's just a little too hard for most people at the moment.

The art is good, the sound effects are good and the concept is good! The only thing I just have to criticize is the difficulty. Even the first dream is WAAAAAAY TOOO HARD!

What a gorgeous color palette! It gives me so many nostalgia vibes: Kirby anyone?

Solid game play that is a bit challenging but satisfying. It definitely needs to have a few easier levels to get started (or an easy option). I'd love to see this turned into a full action platforming game! It is really cool. Nice work :)

Really cool! There are a lot of things I like about this. The art style is nice, the color palet is cool, the gameplay is hard to understand at first but pretty clever. Yeah I like this. I do think that the space given to dodge bullet is quite small and that it feels a little clumsy for a bullet hell game, but the concept is cool!

The art in this is adorable! But it's so hard I can't even beat the first level! It feels like there needed to be more of a difficulty ramp. Or your speed isn't quite as hindered when your mouth is full.

yeah there a bit of a difficulty gap between dream because i don't quite have the time to have someone else test the game. so i can't judge how difficult it is to beat the stage if you're not quite experience in shot'em up or bullet hell. after the jam i will definitely adjust it to be more balanced.

Very nice presentation and fun gameplay. maybe if the inhalation area was enlarged it would be better, because sometimes it is very difficult to inhale the bullet.

Plays fun. Nice Curby mechanics. But I didn't get relation to the theme.

unfortunately i don't quite have the time to add the story in-game so it might not be clear about the theme, but it fit the theme because you're playing as a monster that eat other people dream instead of a hero.
