The mechanics feels and are pretty good.

Good job!

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play my game :)

The gameplay is fun and straightfoward, graphics are really well done and it takes place in a tower you climb through so theme is done correctly. Nice work.

Developer

Thank you I so happy to hear the gameplay is fun I also wasn't sure if others would think the open tower and climbing it would still count as 1 room.. to me it does but I am glad to hear thought so too :)

really beautiful and polished submission, really had fun traversing upwards, great job!

Developer

Well thank you :) I am happy you liked it! :)

Wow this was really polished!! Loved the art and lighting!!  Really fun gameplay -the bubbles were a nice addition too! Fantastic work! :D

Developer(+1)

Aw thank you for your kind comments. The bubbles was a last minute idea to add some kind of obstacle, if i added a locked door then I would classify it as a room, so I looked at obstructing with bubbles.. it doesn't make much sense how the bubbles are connected but I guess thats game logic for you :D

lol i kinda figured it was something like that which was a great use of the limitation! :D

GJ! Controls are very polished and I like the art! Maybe one large room/unlimited room is a bit out of the limitation. But I think it's cool for me!

Very very good job!

Developer(+1)

I agree that the 'large room' might be considered pushing the limitation but It certainly isn't breaking the limitation :D. Thank you for playing though I love you game too ~ It's very creative :)

Controls tightly and is very well presented. Very good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you I am happy you like the presentation, I sent quite some time trying to get 2D Sprites to light with 3D lighting, I really like this 2D + 3D background style. So happy that the controls felt responsive and tight for you.

This game feels really good, loved the controls and the grappling hook! The lighting was amazing as well!

Developer(+1)

50% of the time was tuning to make sure the grappling felt good, intially you only zipped towards the bat but you had to jump at the end in order to shoot upwards. I decided it took too much 'fun' away and felt it was better than it happened automatically! The fun part for me is the random front flip that happens after jumping/grappling. Thanks for playing :)

VV cool 2d and 3d mushed together, I likey

Developer

Me likey the 2D+3D mush too! hehe :3 thanks for playing

Awesome Entry! the art was great and also was a cool mix of 2D and 3D, my only issue with presentation was it seem like there was a lack of feedback when I took damage (also I dont know if HP is working properly) when was near the end I kinda just noticed 'Oh, my HP is 0'. But hp aside the movement was pretty fun but for some reason I kept trying to double jump the whole time, haha. Fantastic work! really fun.

Developer

Ah yes the recieving damage seemed to have been bugged when getting hit, sadly I wasn't able to work on the health system much so it doesnt add much to the game (ideally I could of forgone it completely, probably :D)

I too kept trying to double jump during playtesting, can I ask if it was because you felt nimble so double jump seemed like an obvious thing you SHOULD be able to do? Or was it the random flip that happened after jumping that made you want to double jump :D

Submitted

I'm honestly not 100% sure why I felt the need to double jump, it was probably a small part both of the reason you listed. Probably the second more so than the first
