Yesssss!

My only criticism is not enough monkey butts, BUT the ones that were there, were good!

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Doing a global response instead of responding individually because a lot of it is similar. Basically we took ages to settle on an idea and only ended up making this on the last day - so it's very hacked together and buggy! If we'd started on friday I would've liked to have added the ability to be able to extend the sequence dynamically, to change the bpm, and to be able to re-use monkeys - and then ultimately download the loop at the end. Currently it doesn't always update correctly when you swap or remove a monkey which isn't ideal. Got to laugh a lot while making this though, so overall a fun jam. :) Maybe a good prototype for a vst.

Flip that was fun!!!

Well done on the starts of an entertaining interactive thing! If this could be adapted as a web app then people would go nuts (and you could chuck in a few ads to make some cheeky cash even).

Very fun!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! I love this game so much! A music-making game with the sound of monkeys / apes / baboons? GENIUS!

My only piece of feedback would be for the sounds to update more regularly when I place a character outside of a music box. When I had placed all of them outside of the boxes, the song continued to play and I had to close and reopen the game to start again. It would also be cool to have more varying sounds, but I realize that that was probably out of scope for the game jam :)

Overall I had so much fun playing around with the different sounds and experimenting with the creation of new songs. This is an example of something that is so simple but SO effective and just so cool. Well done!

Really fun concept :D I found that it got quite hectic quite quickly, but I think that's the idea :P
Audio design on each of the monkeys' sound was good, which is important in a game like this so props there.
If you're considering continuing the project I think adding a playhead to show what triggers when and being able to duplicate monkeys would be really neat.

Overall, 10/10,  would reject modernity and return to monke again.

I enjoyed creating chaos, but it didn't last long.

Some instructions would have been nice. A tutorial or 'how-to' page. I also tried a different ordering sequence for the monkeys but it didn't sound different.

Good job on the sound and the mixing of the animal sounds with instruments

Hi! Just a reminder of this rule: " To be eligible to win any of the prizes, your team has to play and give feedback to five other entries by Monday, 5th October 2020".

So if you haven't done it yet, you still have the rest of this weekend and Monday to give your feedback!

This entry is the song of my people.

Love it!

This is the jam my 2020 needed.

The vocals of the orangutan have been undervalued as an instrument for centuries. I'm glad this game can correct that.

When will this be available as a pro DJ instrument? People need to use this in livesets. <3

Ah haha! What did I just experience! XD

Pretty noisy but was fun mixing the beats together.

It's more of an auditory experience than a game.

But interesting concept!
